The exceptions are the gem- stones, which come from the Super Famicom roleplaying game, Tuxedo Mask, from the SuperS movie Memorial Album, and the Sailor Stars, from May 1996 Nakayoshi.

Note: Blood type is in Japan considered to fit certain personality types just like astrological signs. This is only for O/A/B/AB, not + and -. From the rec.arts.manga glossary:
