Haruka (Amara in the US) first appearence is in the third series, Sailormoon S. From the beginning she seems arrogant and self-confident. In the episode she appears, Serena (Usagi) and Mina (Minako), who think her to be a guy, follow her for an entire day, trying to get information about her but eventually they discover the truth that she is a girl. Haruka never wears female clothes, drives around the city with a racing motorcycle or a yellow sports car, takes part in motocross races and wins them easily, loves engines' world and drives to a professional level.
Haruka's temper is enough complex. Sometimes she's really intolerable because of her arrogance and surliness, but she's an incredibly charismatic character.. Haruka is also protective, this is evident especially looking at her attitude toward Michiru (Michelle), Hotaru, and (Serena) Usagi.
SailorUranus and SailorNeptune are inseparable also as Sailor Senshi, and their understanding is so high that it makes them very dangerous adversaries when fighting together.
As Sailor Uranus, Haruka is extremely devoted to the cause she fights for, so devoted she even is willing to risk her own life. Her powers derive from the sky, and like the other Outer Scouts she possesses one of the talismans, the Space Sword.
