| Ray (Rei in Japan) first appeared in Episode 7(10 in Japan). Ray lives with her grandfather at the temple on Cherry Hill where she has two pet crows. These crows were helpful against the evil Zoisite in one adventure. Ray is very bossy but still is very popular in spite of this shortcoming. In one story, we learned that Ray has a talent for singing and songwriting and that her last name is Hino. Ray also has the power to see the future. She can also sense the presence of evil. As a priestess of the sacred fire, she can charge pieces of paper with "anti-evil" energy to paralyse minions of the Negaverse. Some call her "the short-tempered, spiritual girl". | ||||||||||||||||||||||

| Ray has, in her opinion, the best leadership qualities of any of the Sailor Scouts. Also, she goes out on dates, a few with Darien in the earlier episodes. She argues with Serena (Usagi in Japan), who is Sailor Moon, about being unfit as a leader. But later on in the series, Ray recognizes Sailor Moon as the true leader of the team and helps her out. However, they still fight about any petty matter when they get a chance to.. At first, she disliked Serena for being unfit personality-wise, as the leader.
