episode 5: computer school blues

Jedite appears to Queen Beryl. "Your last few attempts have failed abysmally, Jedite, but go ahead.  Give me your report.  Perhaps you can redeem yourself."" she says.

He replies, "I have discovered a new energy source, one that is sure to be most rewarding.  Many young humans lust after scholastic achievement and will do anything to succeed, expending enormous amounts of valuable energy.""
"Hmm . . .  Carry on," she says."

Serena's house.  Serena is on the couch, doubled over in laughter from reading the latest comic book.  Serena's mother hears the commotion. "You're not a hyena!" Serena stops and says, "But look Momma, these are SO funny!" Her mom looks at them, laughs mockingly and says, "You should be studying. Sometimes I ask myself, where did I go wrong?" Serena wails and says, "But Momma, there's so much pressure on us nowadays!" Her mom sighs and says, "That's the same tired old excuse I used on my parents!"...

In her room, Serena has her back turned to Luna. "Stop chewing on your pencil, Serena, it's bad for your teeth!" "But it helps me study, Luna." Luna says, "Maybe I could help you!" She leaps onto her desk and sees - "Comic books AGAIN!" Serena is flabbergasted. "So what, Luna? If my destiny is to become a Scout, why do I have to study?" Luna answers, "Even Scouts need to study, to learn about the world." "But it's so HARD..."

Midnight, at the Crown arcade.  Luna walks up to the doors, which open.  Having informed her superiors, the arcade has become Luna's contact point.  Her rendezvous is the game called Sailor V's Video Challenge A voice from the machine says, "Welcome to the Sailor V Video Challenge. Press the screen to go on." She does. "Password for Voice ID now." Luna says, "I love to eat field mouse and rice pudding." She has cleared. 'What do you have to report, Luna?" Luna sighs, "I feel like Serena won't accept her destiny!" "You must give her time. Be patient. Now type in you access code." She does. A picture of a school girl with blue hair appears on the screen. "This is a new girl at Serena's school. We think she may be from the Negaverse..."

At school the next day, Serena, Molly, and another girl speak about a new student. "She's from the Brighton Academy, a brain," says Serena. Melvin comes up to them. "You mean Amy?" They talk about her. "I bet she'll be a total snob." "Yeah, just a nerd." But a figure is seen looking out the window. "Its her!" They look at the girl. She has the blue hair, dark blue eyes, and she looked depressed. "Oh no, she heard us!" The girl looks their way. 'Hah hah! Good joke Melvin!" laughs Serena. Amy looks sad... Serena walks home. But then she thinks about the test she recently took and starts walking slowly. Suddenly, she sees someone - "Hey, that's Amy!" But suddenly, Luna, thinking she's from the Negaverse, leaps on her! Amy is at first scared, but says, "Oh, what a cute kitty! I love the cresent moon. I wish I had a kitty just like you!" Serena smiles. "Luna, come here, you bad kitty!" Luna jumps to her side. Amy turns around and says, "Serena, right? I heard from Melvin that you thought I was a total snob."
"Oh, just a rumor..." Serena replies.

They walk downtown. "There's lots of great stuff to do around here, like the mall and shopping..." Amy interupts, "Where's the library?" Serena laughs, "No one goes there but Melvin! Lets have some fun!" So she takes Amy to the Game Center, here she plays some Sailor V. Serena is about to lose and screams "Hi YAH!" but dies anyway. "Amy, you try!" "I've never played, but OK." Amy starts playing. She racks up point after point. Soon, a whole crowd is around them, looking at the great Amy. But she looks at her watch and says, 'The professor's gonna kill me!" She runs out, dropping her things...

"School again?" says Serena. "A computer class. I gotta go!" She runs out. Andrew meets her outside. "Serena, you dropped this disk!" Serena sighs, saying, "Oh, its my friend's. I'll give it to her!"...meanwhile, at the class, a woman looks out the window and says, "The Queen will be pleased..."

A huge group of students enters the class. The woman says, "Ah, more energy." All the students sit at computers in cubicles. Amy rummages through her bag and says, "Oh no, my disk! I'll just have to do my homework right now!" But then the woman, who is the teacher of the class comes over to her. "Amy, I want you to lead the class today." As she walks away, Amy is relieved...

Outside the computer school... "Ew, ugh.  More school?  I don't go to school more than I absolutely have to.  It's dangerous to my health.  But I guess I just have to return this thing."" Serena is saying. Her and Luna are in front of Amy's computer school. Luna says, 'She's from the Negaverse," and Serena laughs.
   "Talkin' to yourself again Meatball Head?" Darien is laughing at her.
   "Stop it Darien!" They bolt out of there. But Serena stops. "Stop staring at me!" She turns to see Darien indeed staring.
   "Strange girl..." he says.  Serena and Luna run to a telephone pole to catch their breath...
   "I thought he heard me for sure!" says Luna.

Serena whines, "I've still got this disk!" "There's a computer stope near here. We can see what's on it." Serena objects, but they get over to the store. Luna puts in the disk and types a few commands. "You know, for a cat you're pretty smart!" But then a voice from the computer says, "You have been chosen to give your energy to our great leader Queen Beryl..." "It's a brainwashing disk! Amy must be from the Negaverse!" shouts Luna...

they are back at Amy's school/class. "Luna, I can't just go in there!" Luna reminds her of the Luna Pen. "Oh yeah...Disguise POWER! Turn me into a school superintendant!" It does, and she comes out with shoulder legnth hair and a green skirt. She runs into the classroom in this disguise and says, "Give up this bogus class!" Amy stands up and says, "Who are you and what do you want?" A student turns around - he has almost dead eyes. "You heard me! give it up!" Luna says, "It's time for Sailor Moon." Serena nods. "Moon Prism POWER!"

And she turns into the heroine Sailor Moon. "Sailor Moon!?" says a supirsed Amy. But the teacher suddenly comes up to Amy and grabs her by the head. "I can't leave you alone for a minute can I? Well you'll just have to leave!" And the teacher turns into a monster from the Negaverse! "Well, Amy wasn't from the Negaverse! Just wing it," says Luna, trying to cover up her mistake...

Sailor Moon goes into her speech. The monster says, "Pop quiz time! What's 583*223?" Moon shouts, "I don't have to answer!" "Times up! Bad response, Sailor Moon!" And she shoots out razor sharp test papers at Sailor Moon! Moon dodges a few attacks, and says "Missed me!" But then she shoots out more papers, backing her into a corner. Then suddenly, all the students but Amy get up and surround Sailor Moon, who freaks out! She is trapped!...

"Now Amy, we'll get you!" The mosnter holds her head to the computer screen and lets the program run. But Amy won't give in. "i'll never surrender!" And suddenly, in a flash of light, what appeared on her forehead but - "The sign of Mercury! Amy is SAilor Mercury!" shouts Luna. The monster pushes Amy aside. Meanwhile, Luna does a flip and produces a blue sitck with the Mercury sign on it!...

the monster had turned her hand into an ax! Luna shouts, "Amy, take this and shout 'Mercury Power'!" Amy grabs the stick and looks determined...

"MERCURY POWER!" Holding up the stick, she is surrounded by blue ribbons. She does a turn and poses. "Just in time!" shouts Luna. Mercury sees Moon's peril. "Use your Mercury Bubbles!"...

"Mercury Bubbles!" Mercury forms a large bubble and spins around. "BLAST!" the one bubble explodes into many tiny ones, creating a cold fog..."What's this?" says the monster, shivering. The students all fall, stunned by the cold. And now it's Moon's turn..."Moon Tiara MAGIC!" The monster is no more, and the students return to normal. "Wow...'says Amy. "We're sorry we doubted you," says Moon and Luna. "It's OK!" she gives a geniune smile...

outside in school clothes, Serena says, "Wow, you're Sailor Mercury!" Amy smiles. "Now that we're friends, do you think you could help me with my homework?"...
