episode 3: slim city

Serena says to herself, "Time to weigh in!" She steps on the bathroom scale..."AAHHHHHH!" All the family members, and Luna, come in. "What's wrong?" "I'm a FATSO!" At the eating table, her mother says, "A half a pound? That's nothing!" Her father laughs, "That's nothing to be worried about!" They all say, "You can work it off on your hundred yard dash to school!"...

In the Negaverse, we see Queen Beryl summoning Jedite. "You are colecting vast amounts of energy!" says Beryl. Jedite says, "Just following your plan. Humans waste much energy on dieting and fitness..."

That night, Serena moans about her "weight problem". She says that she will go on a strict diet. Meanwhile, Luna draws a picture and shows it to Serena - it is a picture of Sailor Moon as fat as a blimp! "Not funny, Luna!"...

At school the next day, Serena, Molly, a two other girsl sit outside. They talk about dieting and the like, when Miss Haruna passes them. She looks great! Serena says to Molly, "I wish there was a good way to lose some weight." Then Melvin comes up to them. "These are some pictures that fell out of her purse!" He shows them two pictures of her working out. "MElvin, she didn't HAVE a purse!" shouts Serena. Melvin screams and runs away...but Serena finally catches him. "I'm sorry! I borrowed the school's camera!" shouts an embarrassed Melvin. But Serena asks, "Where did she work out?"...

The four girls are at the place where Miss H lost all that weight. They go in, change into white sweatshirts and black bottoms, and walk into a hallway...when they see a cute guy with glasses.  He bears a striking resemblence to Jedite. "Hi! I'm Jed!" They follow 'Jed' to a workout room...

Molly works on a bike, a muscular man encouraging her. Serena is on a rower, and another man says, "Only 200 left to go!" She sighs...the other girls are on other machines. Molly says, "I'm done!" Jedite think to himself, "NO YOU'RE NOT!" He says, "Get back to work, ladies!"...

Meanwhile, at Serena's house, Serena is in a bath. "I'm glad I ditched that working out! It's hard!"...at the gym place, they finished their workouts. 'Jed' leads the three remaining girls to a room. It has weird looking pods. "what is this place?" asks Molly. "These are relaxation pods! You come out like a new person!" Of course, the girls agree...

they go in, and it drains their energy! They come out, tired and blue in the face! But 'Jed' says, "You look great!" "Really?" They struggle out the door happily. Jedite smiles, knowing that he has collected more energy...

Serena walks down the street, on her 'diet'. She sees a little boy eating a donut (actually a Japanese sugar puff). "Hey kid!" He tuns around. Serena drools a bit. "You gonna eat all those donuts?" The kid is scared by her, and runs away, screaming. "What a little brat!"...

further down the street, she is tired. She passes a Sailor V poster. "I bet Sailor V never has to diet!" Then she sees the boy from the Game Center that Luna had seen. "Hi, Andrew..." and she falls into his arms. "Serena? Are you OK?" "Only as long as you don't move. Everything is spinning around and around..."

She has a dream while she is out, of her and Andrew together. "Serena, you can't do this to yourself! There are better ways to diet!" She looks into his eyes. "How?" They get closer. "Eat a big steak." They look like they will kiss. In the dream, she thinks, "Oh, my Andrew..."

"Here, drink this!" Andrew has Serena in a room. Luna watches from the outside window. "Are you OK?" "Yeah, I think so," she replies. Andrew says, "Good. When you fell into my arms I was so happy..." she gasps in joy. "I realize that I definitely want to be a doctor!" She is crushed. "You mean you aren't going to work at the Center anymore?" "Hah! I can't work there forever, Serena!" She tears up. "But don't worry, because I still have to pay for school. I'll be here for a while!" She is relieved. "Oh, and Serena, are you on a diet? Beuse you don't need one. You look great! Tell you what. Why don't I take you out for lunch?" The sound of food makes her happy. "Lunch? Really? YEAH!!!"...

Serena walks down the street, eating donuts. She is so happy to be eating again. but then a figure approaches..."Hey, Meatball Head. Or should I call you 'Donut Head'?" "Knock it off Darien!" shouts Serena. He laughs, "Can I have one?" "SURE!" and she throws it at him. He catches it and eats it. "Thanks Donut Head!" He walks away...

"Next time I won't just hit you with a donut!" she shouts. Luna approaches. "He has a point, Serena. You completely pigged out at the resturaunt, and then you ate these donuts! How many did you have?" She thinks about it. "Lets see...one, no, two...maybe three, four...five, I think that's it." She realizes what she has done. "OH NO, Luna, I'm turning into a blimp!" LUna shouts at her, "You are not a blimp, Serena, you are average weight! But eating too much and then not at all won't help. And we have more important business to think about!" Serena doesn't listen. "I have to go work out!"...

At the gym, Serena is biking like CRAZY, astounding even the muscular guys! Luna, inside, sees someone looking in a trace - Miss H! Luna follows her down to a room. She steps into a 'relaxation pod'. Luna sees Jedite laughing!... so Luna runs up to Serena and knocks her off the bike, then runs outside. Serena chases her. "What's with you!" BUt Luna knocks her down, jumping on top of her. "You're going to listen to ME, Serena!" she shouts, holding out her claws. "The Negaverse is behind this!" "No way!" She holds out her claws again, and Serena gets scared. "This is SAILOR business, Serena." She nods. "Moon Prism POWER!"...

and again, Serena becomes the scout of the moon, Sailor Moon! She runs down to the pod room and says "Game's over, buddy!  I know you.  You're working for the Negaverse! I am Sailor Moon, and I am the Champion of Justice.". Jedite isn't impressed. "Boys, take care of her!" He takes the energy he has collected already and leaves...
     Leaving Sailor Moon and Luna with those three muscular guys! Their eyes glow yellow and they begin to surround her...so Moon run away! "Serena, what are you doing? What about Miss H?" shouts Luna. Sailor Moon thinks about it, and says, "You're right!" She turns to face off...and kicks, punches, and attacks them! They are all on the ground, scared of Sailor Moon! What a warrior..."You guys need an attitude adjustment! Moon Tiara MAGIC!..."
      The tiara breaks into pieces over their heads. They are healed! Moon smiles. "Whew.  I'm glad they aren't real bad guys."

     Meanwhile, Beryl says to Jedite, "Jedite, you were forced to abandon the plan much sooner than anticipated.  Jedite, I'm disappointed.  How is it that we were discovered so soon?"
    Jedite growls. "I'm not exactly sure, my queen, but that Sailor Moon is getting on my nerves."

That night, Serena takes a relaxing bath. Sammy, her brother, waits outside for her to finish. He says to his mom, "I'm just playing a joke on Serena!" She screams. "It can't be!  I don't weigh three hundred pounds!  Mama, I broke the bathroom scaaaaaale!"
