episode 1: a moon star is born

    A voice is heard - "A thousand years ago, our Moon was home to a great civilization ruled by Queen Serenity.  Everything was peaceful until the arrival of the evil Queen Beryl.  To conquer the Moon, Queen Beryl unleashed the awesome power of the Negaforce.  Although her world was destroyed, Queen Serenity's last hope was the power of the Imperium Silver Crystal and the Crescent Moon Wand.  Frozen in Moon Beam Crystals, the queen sent the Princess and the children of the Moon to the future on Earth.  Their memories lost to them all, the queen's cat advisors, Luna and Artemis, must find the Princess, so she will at last be safe.  And so, our story begins..."

     An alarm rings. "OH NO I'm gonna be last for school!" shouts a girl. The girl, who has blonde pigtails with 'meatballs' on top, runs down and wolfs down breakfast.
    "Serena, I woke you up three times but you stayed in bed!" says the girl's mom. Serena runs out the door in a panic...

     As she runs, she yawns. "Why does school start so early?" Then she sees a bunch of little kids tormenting a cat! She shoos them off. "Oh, you're ok, kitty." The cat has a bandaid on its forehead, and she takes it off - "Is that a cresent moon mark!" The cat does a flip and stares at her.
     The cat thinks, "Could this girl be the one?" Serena is scared and runs away...

     "You should be spending more time studying, Serena!" Serena's teacher shouts. "A 30? This won't cut it!" Serena looks at her test paper with the horrible red mark and cries...
      Outside, she says to girl with red hair, "Molly, what am I going to do?" A boy with nerdy glasses walks up to them.
    "Serena, come with me to the library to study! I only got a 95 and my parents are disappointed!"
     Molly snaps, "Yeah, and why do we care?" Turning to Serena, she says, "Why don't we go shopping?"
     Serena gasps at the idea. "Can we get some earrings!?"
     "Yeah, we can go to my mom's jewlery shop!"
     "YEAH!" They run off happily...

     In a dark, evil place, a woman with long red hair and a staff sits on a throne. "It is time to open the gate to the other dimension! To do this, we will need energy. Jedite!"
     A man appears in front of her. "Queen Beryl, my servant Morga is already collecting energy."
     The Queen says, "Excellent!..."

      The two girls reach the jewlery shop, which is mobbed by girls and women. They walk in, and it is WAY too crowded. "Molly, what's going on?" asks Serena.
     Molly turns to her mom, who is shouting, "Give me an offer!" "Momma, what's going on?" The mother says cheerfully, "Oh, hi dear!"
     Serena says, "We're looking for some rhinestones!"
     "Oh, you should go for the best! Diamonds?" Serena gasps! They go over to a counter where Molly's mom holds out a diamond ring. "For you, 20 carats for 10 dollars!" Hearing this, all the women crowd around the counter, begging for a look.
     Serena and Molly crawl out of the crowd. "Molly, I should go. Things are way too weird here."
     "Ok, see you tomorrow." She leaves...

    Inside, Molly makes her way up to her mother. "Momma, what's going on?" The mother turns around...and her face is evil-looking. "Momma?!?..."

     Serena is looking at her test paper and dreading when she has to tell her mother about her failing grade.  In exasperation, she crumples up the paper and throws it into the air.  It hits a tall dark-haired guy with sunglasses walking in the street. 
     "Hey, watch it, Meatball Head," the guy says. He opens up the crumpled test paper and remarks, ""A thirty?  Admirable. Are you lazy or just plain stupid?"
     This angers Serena! "Give me that!" She screams back at him.  She turns away, "Hah!  The nerve of that guy.  What a total jerk calling me a Meatball Head."  Still . . ."then looks back and thinks, "He sure is cute..."
     He takes off his glasses revealing his eyes, and thinks, "Something about that girl..."

     At home...."Serena, what'd you get on your Algebra test?" asks her mother.
     "Test? In algebra?" answers Serena.
     "Come on dear."
      "I...umm...well...you see..."
     She hands it to her. "A THIRTY! GO TO THE LIBRARY RIGHT NOW AND STUDY FOR THE NEXT TEST!" Serena leaves...

     In the jewlery shop, a woman says, "I feel so faint..." and she does. "My energy!" All the women fall! The jewels are sucking the energy right out of them!...
      In the jewlery shop, Molly's mom holds Molly by the throat. She turns around...and turns into a hideous, monster! Molly screams...

     At dusk, Serena lies down at home  after a long trip to the library.  "Studying so hard is very, very tiring.  All those books . . . .  All those words . . . .  It can't be too good for a person.  How does Melvin do it?  Oh, I'm so sleepy, so tired.  I wanna sleep."
     And so, she takes a nap.  In her slumber, she doesn't notice her bedroom window opening and something jump into the room.  It creeps closer and closer . . . until the wind slams the window shut.  The noise wakes up Serena, and she turns to see a cat on her bed!  It's the same cat she had saved this morning!
     The cat speaks, "My name is Luna, and I have been searching for you for a very long time.  You are the chosen one, and I have been sent here to guide you on the path to your ultimate destiny.  I wasn't sure if you were the one the first time we met, but I've been watching you, and now I absolutely know that you are . . . the Sailor Scout of the Moon."
The cat gives Serena a locket.

At the jewlery store, the monster says to Molly, "Soon, you and your kind will cease to exist.  Once Queen Beryl unleashes the Negaforce, she will destroy you all!"
"Stop right there!" someone shouts. 'Who's there?" asks the monster. "I am...umm...I am Sailor Moon, the champion of justice!" Sailor Moon poses. "And I say, on behalf of the moon, I will right wrongs and triumph over evil - and that means you!" The monster laughs. "I never heard of you. And I never will again!..."

"My children, arise and feel the power fo the Negaverse!" All the fainted people arise, but they have evil, glowing eyes - and they all start to attack Sailor Moon! She wails, dodges the attacks, and wails again, but she is soon herded into a corner. Luna says, "Sailor Moon, what are you doing?" "I don't know what to do!" The monster, Morga, laughs. "Finish her!" They start to attack, and she wails...

     A rose flies across, stunning everyone! The monster shouts, "Who is that!"
     A man, with a cap, tuxedo, and cane stands before them."I am Tuxedo Mask.  Sailor Moon, look into your heart and find the warrior within you.  It is your destiny.""
     Sailor Moon cries, "But I don't want to be a warrior!" She does the one thing she could think of: she starts to cry and wail.  Surprisingly, her powers magnify the noise considerably, sending the entire store into a tremor.  Morga's control over the customers is broken, and they all collapse to the floor.)
     Luna says, "Alright. Now take off your tiara, and say 'Moon Tiara Magic'!"
     "But why?"
     "Just DO it!"...

     She takes off the tiara, which glows. She spins around, and the tiara turns into a glowing discus. "Moon Tiara MAGIC!" It is thrown at the monster, and... it turns to dust!
    Jedite, in the Negaverse, sees that the energy Morga had collected was gone. "Someone will pay for this!..."

"Sailor Moon, are you OK?" asks Luna.
"You have done well, Sailor Moon, and now, Molly's mother and all the other women are free.  Others will test you.  Do not be afraid.  I will fight with you."" says Tuxedo Mask. He flies off.
Sailor Moon stands. "What a hunky guy!..."

In school the next day, Molly says, "My and my mom had the weirdest dream! We were being attacked by this monster, but a beautiful warrior named Sailor Moon saved us!"
"I had it too!" says someone.
'Me too! Isn't that weird?" says another.
But Serena is sleepy. "I was out late last night. I need some sleep." She yawns and does so...
