Ingredients:
 1 cup granulated sugar
Preparation:
Heat over to 350. Mix sugars, margarine, shortening, vanilla and eggs in a large bowl. Stir in flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Stir in chocolate chips or whatever. (The original recipe calls for 1 cups of "stir-in morsels", but I like more stuff in my cookies. I like this recipe with peanut butter chips, or mixed peanut butter and chocolate chips. I also like it with chocolate chips, marshmallows, and chopped pecans; chocolate chips and raisins; or chopped Snickers candy bars. I think it would be good with chopped Bit-O-Honey candy bars, but I haven't tried that yet; I'm guessing you'd want to partially freeze them before trying to chop them.)
Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. I use a spoon in each hand, scooping with the right hand, and pushing dough onto the cookie sheet with the left hand.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until set. These cookies are a little firmer than chocolate chip cookies. Cool on the cookie sheet for a few minutes, then transfer the cookies to baking racks till cool -- one of the racks out of your oven works fine.
This recipe is based on a Betty Crocker recipe.
