| At around 3:15am on Tuesday, December 2, 2003, mommy started having really bad contractions. She couldn't sleep or really hardly do anything...then finally at around 9:00am on Wednesday, December 3, 2003, she thought it was time to go to the hospital. As soon as she got there, the staff rushed her up to a room in the Labor & Delivery Department. The doctor came in soon after to check her out. She was dialated 4cm. but her water hadn't broken yet. Dr. Maxymiv decided that now was the time and he went ahead and ruptured the membranes to induce labor. A couple hours went by and the nurse kept checking her, but nothing was happening. They finally decided to hook a Pitocin drip up to her IV. A couple hours later, she was dialated to 6cm. Around 4:00pm, she had dialated to 7cm. The doctor thought he had a while until she fully dialated, but about 2 hours later the nurse checked her, and yep! She was already fully dialated and the nurse could feel my head. They got Dr. Maxymiv quickly and told mommy to start pushing (she was SO nervous she was shaking and her teeth were chattering!) About 10 minutes later, at 5:56pm my head popped out! And then the rest of my body! Mommy was so happy! Not to mention Daddy and Grandma!!! After I came out, Dr. Maxymiv spent about an hour stitching mommy up, since I came out so fast they didn't have time to preform an episiotomy. Nevertheless, Mommy was the happiest she had ever been. She had a beautiful baby boy who's the love of her life. :) |
