We're Glad You Came Stay a while and take a look around. We're here for your CHILDREN and YOU! It's not easy to be a single parent. How do you face the challenge of bringing up your children alone? Or how do you learn to live apart from them? How do you get the information you need to solve parenting, financial and legal problems? How do you rebuild a life that seemingly has come apart? And how do you do all of this --ALONE? Do you realize that more than one fourth of all families raising children are headed by single parents? There are nearly 9 million single parent families today! But nevertheless single parents often feel alone and that no one understands. Learning to adjust to single parenting takes time and effort. For some of us, this can be a period of crisis, for others, a turning point in life! |

WHO IS ELIGIBLE? To quote our ByLaws; "To be eligible for membership in PWP, a person must be the parent of one or more sons or daughters; to be single by reason of death, divorce, separation or never married; or any other reason which may be deemed acceptable by PWP, Inc. Custody of children is not a factor." PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS are required to attend an orientation before being accepted into our chapter. ORIENTATION MEETINGS for PWP, Inc. are held at the General Chapter Meetings every 4th Sunday of the month at 5:00 p.m. Please check our calendar for further information. DUES: Total one-year dues are $45 effective 01/01/07. This includes both Chapter and International membership, subscription to the chapter newsletter, and all other privileges of membership. |
