The course was primarily based on Chemistry and Pharmacology, but also consisted of modules in Biochemistry and Biochemical Medicine. I also studied anatomy and physiology to second year science level.

I worked as a Care Assistant with elderly residents and still do bank rota work during holidays.

Seasonal work (1991-1994); Full time (1995 - 1996).

I worked as a waiter in two busy roadside restaurants and also prepared food and beverages when necessary.

Interests and Leisure Activities

At University, I was an active member of the CU group and regularly helped in the organisation of various events. I attended various Chemistry Society activities. At the School of Nursing, I helped set up my class’s Entertainments Committee and currently serve as Chairperson, having also served as Secretary.

For relaxation purposes I swim (I have various survival and lifesaving awards), cycle and go hillwalking. I also play the guitar and enjoy reading and going to the cinema. I rejoined my former Scout troop as an Assistant Scout Leader in 1996 and have been active in the Group since then, even after returning to college.
