Stro: Nelson Royal, Gene Anderson, and Ivan Koloff
Who or what influenced you to get into the wrestling business?
Stro: I was involved in a lot of activities growing up , but professional wrestling is something I have always wanted to pursue. Watching all the greats like the Funks, Briscoes, Harley Race, Ric Flair, Dusty Rhodes, BlackJack mulligan, Andre the Giant, Dynamite Kid, Tigermask, Wahoo McDaniels, Steve Keirn, Mike Graham, Barry Windham among many others influenced me greatly. Also was influenced earlier in my career by former tag team partner Jake Roberts. Ironically, I found out later on in my career through my grandfather of my relation to the original Gorgeous George.
How was your experiences with the old WCW? What other feds have you worked for? Who are you currently working for?
Stro: Despite trouble in the latter days on the business end, my time with WCW was a tremendous experience. It was great working with arguably the best talent in the world and it will always be something I will treasure. I have virtually wrestled for many territories across the globe over the years. Some of them are
WCEW, CAPW, CPW, WCW, SMW, USWA, WWC, IWF, IWA,NWA,CCWA, CCW, SCW, ACCW, ACW, UWFI, AAA, among many others.
How was your WCW experience different than working the indies? What was probably some of your best memories of your experience in the WCW?
Stro: It was an opportunity to perform in front of a world wide audience and to wrestle with the best wrestling talent around. Entertainment value, the best feud I have to say would have been the one involving the one I had with Ernest "The Cat" Miller. Involving "The Godfather of Soul" James Brown was a big thrill and a honor. Wrestling value, all my great matches I had from Sting, Flair, Bigelow to Buff, Smiley, Guerrero, etc.
Do you currently hold any titles? What are some that you have held ?
Stro: I have held various titles through the years. I currently hold the ACCW world,WCEW world, SCW World, and CPW championships.
Who are your biggest rivals in wrestling?
Stro: Some of my toughest opponents have been guys like RVD, Tony Atlas, Barbarian, Ron Garvin, Sting, Sid Vicious, Jerry Lawler, Tazz, Wahoo McDaniel, Roaddogg BG James, Paul Orndorff, among many others
What are your favorite kind of matches (straight up,tag team,ladder,hardcore,etc....)
Stro : Have wrestled in just about every match you can think of over the years. Each style of match has it's pros and cons. i prefer to be in singles competition because its more of a one on one basis.
If you could have a match with any wrestler,past or present,who would you wrestle?
Stro: Ricky Steamboat, Ric Flair, Kurt Angle, Chris Benoit, Shawn Michaels, Ted Dibiase.
How would you best describe your wrestling style?
Stro: Intense , technical style. Have added some muscle as well to enhance more power. My finisher is known as the SBD (Stro Bearhug DDT).
