When did you start your pro wrestling career?
October 1954 in Columbus , Ohio What made you want to become a professional wrestler? Money and travel You had many memorable moments throughout your great carer,such as being the man who made Georgous George cut off his golden locks, or beating the great Mil Mascaras to win the title of "Wrestlings Greatest Masked Man." What is your most memorable moment in your career? Going to Japan as the W.W.A World Champion and wrestling Rikidozan before a T.V. audiance of 70,000,000 peopleAnd a sellout crowd with 5,000 people outside. Who was your biggest rival (or rivals)? Rikidozan , Lou Thesz , Mil Mascarus , Vern Gagne , Billy Red " elbendo"Lyons , Red " The Bishop" Bastien Who was probably your toughest opponent? Rikidozan Mil Mascarus Cowboy Bill Watts What championships did have you held throughout your career? W.W.A. and A.W.A. World Champion and U.S.Hwy.Title and many others In the beginning of your career, you worked as a "good guy" before you became a heel. Did you prefer being the bad guy over the good guy, or vise versa? Was it more fun being the "bad guy?" Good guys have to win to have a fan following while bad guys don't have to win because fans will come all the time to watch them lose.It is easier to be a good guy because you do not have to fight the crowd like bad guys do! Bad guys if they are good can lose every night and the fans will keep coming What would you say was your biggest acheivement in your wrestling career? Taking my wife and three kids age's 10, 7, and 2 around the world from Sept. 1970 and returning Sept. 1971. We visited 20 different countries You made a name for yourself all around the world. In what country do you feel you were the most recognizable in? Japan What kind of advice could you give to up and coming wrestlers? Get a college educatioin and a good amateur background |
