October 16th 2005- AWA: WCWC (Report sent in by K.)

The show opened up with AWA: WCWC owner Jeff Manning giving the commish, Gentleman George Michael, his Heavyweight Championship belt.

In the first matchup, a 1st Round Lightening Division match between G-Shock and Tony Terrific went to a time limit draw. Tony requested an extra five minutes which G-Shock agreed to. The commish stepped in and asked the fans if they would like to extend the match for the five minutes which the crowd cheered approvingly. After George Michael heard their reaction he declared the match over without a time extension.

Another 1st Round Lightening Division match pitted Nate the Great versus The Ideal Reflection Christopher Ryseck. The match went well, however the fans didn't have anyone to root for, therefore against either since they're both heels. The match had a fun ending as the ref had his back turned and Ryseck threw his hand mirror at Nate which he caught. Ryseck then fell to the mat as the ref turned around he saw Nate with the mirror and Christopher on the ground. He declared Ryseck the winner by D.Q. After deliberation with the Commish the ref retracted his decision and the match was announced to continue. Ryseck quickly hit Nate in the gut and landed his finisher (Fame-ass-er) to win the match by pin-fall.

The third and final 1st Round Lightening Division match of the night featured the 209 3/4lb (the weight limit is 210lbs) Draven Vargas versus Lt. Freedom. Draven used the ropes and pinned Lt. Freedom.

Hippie Leaves Town match where the loser leaves town pitted Cosmic River versus Latino Hippie (Latino Blanco). Not much to say about this match, the crowd sat on their hands the whole time. In the end, Cosmic River hit Latino Hippie with a pumpkin and pinned him.

The 5th match of the night was a Tag Team matchup of Diafullah the Butcher and Slick Cedric versus Cpl. Moose Morrow and Caden Mathews. This was probably my favorite match maybe just on the fact that Diafullah didn't get disqualified. He almost did however, as he went after Caden Mathews with his fork. After knocking the fork out of his hand the legal man in the ring Slick Cedric took advantage of Caden being distracted and plummeted him with a series of moves and pinned Mathews.

After intermission was The Delinquent Damien Michaels going up against Little Nasty Boy. The match ended as Little Nasty Boy did a splash from the top rope onto Micahaels and getting the pin.

For the AWA: WCWC Tag Team titles, the champions, OTB defended their titles against Damon Scythe and JSIN Sullivan. Before the match begun Damon unleashed his large snake (Boa? I'm not sure it was huge though) and cleared the ring. After putting it back into the bag the match finally started. The match went really well and had some good wrestling. With the referee distracted, The Critter came into the ring and speared Damon Scythe and took off with his snake. Mike Dempsey and Memphis Raines capitalized by doing The Best Move Ever on their 2nd attempt and got the pin on Scythe to remain AWA: WCWC Tag Team champions.

The Main Event was my favorite match of the night. This match was for the AWA: WCWC Heavyweight championship as the champion and also commish Gentleman George Michael took on Cole Bishop. Both men are great wrestlers and Michael is entertaining on the mic. The referee for the match was none other then Jeff the ref Manning aka the owner of AWA: WCWC. Needless to say he had numerous slow counts when Bishop went for the pin-fall and fast counts when it was George going for the pin. Towards the end Bishop was going for a pin and Manning actually went with a normal paced count. Unfortunately for Cole, Manning hurt his arm in between the 2nd and 3rd counts and could not finish counting to three. While being attended to by the ring announcer for his injuries, George Michael loaded his elbow pad with some sort of foreign object. He landed an elbow on Cole Bishop and knocked him out. He went for the fall just as Jeff was feeling better and got the three count to retain his championship belt.
