P.W.I.T.K.'S INTERVIEW WITH  "SUPERSTAR" J.D. MICHAELS CONTINUED.....
How much influence did Shawn Michaels, have (if any) on you wanting to be a professional wrestler?
Shawn had a big influence on me, just like The Dynamite Kid did to Chris Benoit, and "Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers did to Ric Flair. It's almost more than an influence to where you actually see a lot of yourself in that person. I have been told I have so many mannerisms like Shawn, yet to me, I walk like JD, run like JD, sell as JD etc. But if you watch a Dynamite Kid match, then watch a Chris Benoit match...man it's mind boggling, they are similar almost to a tee. Whenever I watched Shawn, it was weird, like I was watching an older version of myself. Also, Shawn had impeccable timing and selling which always made his matches that much better than the rest of the card. Those skills impressed me more than a moonsault or 450. Those were skills that I wanted as some of my strong points. He was (is) an all around sports entertainer, and the fact I even get compared to him is a huge compliment.

What has been your biggest achievement , in your opinion, so far in your career?
Hmm. I don't know if I have one that really stands out above the rest. For sure wrestling for WWE on Velocity is probably the biggest, as you work hard, sweat, bleed, travel, starve to make it where you want to end up. I want to end up in WWE. Getting to wrestle in a WWE ring on national TV definitely made me feel like although I wasn't there (from a contract standpoint) at least I am heading in the right direction. The 3 or 4 days I was in OVW and the criticism and praise I got, let me know just where I stand.....soon as I get that green card, I'll be back!

Who has been you toughest opponent, so far? How about your favorite opponent?

Toughest opponent....I'll get back to you on that one
Favorite opponent....probably Frankie Kazarian.

What promotions have you been working for lately?
I was working for about 2 or 3 up until the summer hit (late June) then everything practically shut down around here, which completely sucks, hence another of the many reasons I need to branch out to the 'States. Besides going back to OVW, I have been talking lately with the AWA, so if something does come out of that, I will post it on my site.

Where can we expect to see you wrestling in the future?
Since future is a big word, I will say everywhere. When I get a green card I will be trying to get booked all over the U.S. I would like to go over seas to Europe, I recently did an interview with a German wrestling site, and I think it would be a great experience going over there. Of course I want to end up in WWE, and if (when) I do, then literally I will be everywhere!

If you could have a match with any wrestler, past or present, who would it be?  Would you ever want to have a match with HBK?
I always wanted to wrestle Ric Flair as he will forever be the man. I have always wanted to wrestle Bret Hart as he was the ultimate technician and perfectionist. JD Michaels vs Shawn Michaels? Will it happen? I don't know. Do I want it to happen? You bet your ass....and I would have to watch it on tape after just to make sure it actually happened...lol!

What are your goals in your career?
My goals are to constantly improve. Whether it's my body through the gym or in the ring through the many different skills, I want to be better, and when I get better, I still want to be better. I think you can tell that my goal is to end up in WWE. I feel sometimes like I have no idea myself how much I have to give from a creative standpoint and the platform of a WWE would help bring it out. I would like to travel and wrestle in places I haven't wrestled before and wrestle workers I haven't wrestled before.....Remember the name "Superstar" JD Michaels...I am Confidence, Attitude, Personality & Sexuality!
