They're Baaack

Week 5 [09.19.05] --

Kalamazoo 101 Detroit 87
The Vikings offense finally showed up. Boldin stretched out for 21, and Shaun Alexander pounded in 20 more. Andre Johnson had no catches, and soon may find himself on the bench for the Vikings. The Detroit Drive was led by a D, the Indy D. The Indianpolis Defense led all active scorers this week with 28 points. No Michael Vick or Joe Horn cost the Drive a golden opportunity.

Seattle 104, Rocko 98
The trio of Steve Smith, Santana Moss, and Tomlinson led Seattle to a 5-0 record. The Bengals nearly gave Seattle their first loss. Torry Holt had 20 points. Coaching decisions left 18 points from Cooley and 24 from Terry Glenn on the bench.

West Palm Beach 80, Cranville 76
West Palm Beach barely escaped with a win. The Buffalo Defense managed 13 points, and Trent Dilfer tossed for 12. Cranville not only came away with a loss, but also lost Deuce McAllister for the season. Daniel Graham grabbed 16 points, and Leftwich launched 15 more. Questionable roster management left Tatum Bell's 19 and Moulds' 15 points on the bench.

Helena 48, Wisconsin 25
A bit embarrassing when two teams combine for less points than 8 other teams. McNair's 22 points almost single handedly defeated Wisconsin. Najeh Davenport's 15 points were left on the bench, and now Najeh will be out for the season. Wisconsin decided to leave the roster untouched, thus had 4 starters on bye. Galloway led all Wannabee scorers with 9.

Rhode Island 87, Timbuktu 72
A nice team effort by Rhode Island. Dominic Davis and Crumpler each had 16 points for the Ridicule. The Buccaneers were led by Josh Brown with 14. Drew Bennett's 15 points were left on the pine.

Hellenspont 128, Green Bay 53
Holy Trojan Horse! The Trojan offense exploded this week, with a league high 128. Brady threw for 23, while Fitzgerald hauled in 21 and Troupe added 17. Steven Jackson pounded out 18 points. Acclaimed rookie Cedric Benson yielded -2 points. The Slackers barely outscored the Packers this week, 53-52. Favre scrambled for 22. The Green Bay Defense led all scorers with 33, but was on the bench for the Slackers along with 21 points from Joe Jurevicious.

Coach of the Week: Seattle Slimy Slugs
Player of the Week: Colts (Def-Det)
