Skunks Win, Hand Hummels Wharf First Division Loss The Seattle Skunks ink their first "W" in the 2003 season by defeating one of the best teams in the league in the Hummels Wharf Braves. Wisconsin was able to knock off the Rocko Leopards to remain undefeated for the season. In what turned out to be the game of the week, Michigan narrowly edged out Providence in the only interdivision game in week five. The household battle of the week, the Providence Plague and Michigan Twinkies went into the final day of the week separated by only .33 points. The Twinkies had a strong day on Sunday while the Plague faltered and Puck proved the victor. In winning - Michigan has positioned themselves well in the Mars division with the struggling Braves sliding backwards after their loss to the Skunks. The Braves' received their first division loss of the season and has started to raise questions regarding their daily strategy. The Skunks have been said to be relieved at finally getting their much deserved victory. Seattle has been second in overall fantasy points for the past couple weeks, but had yet to crack the win column. The Skunks hope that this propells them into a winning streak similar to their arch rival Michigan.
The Wisconsin Wannabes extended their season-opening winning streak to five games with a win over the Rocko Leopards. While this certainly isn't Wisconsin's most convincing victory, they did crack the 300-point barrier, proving that it's not a fluke. The Leopards have been crashing down since their only win against Seattle in week two. The youngest owner in the league has been seen distracted by her time playing soccer in AYSO.
