Michigan Twinkies Return to PWFBL Glory

(OSHKOSH, WI) The teams still the same, but it was a new face that brought the 2003 PWFBL trophy back to Michigan. The Twinkies captured the championship on some late-game heroics from Albert Pujols, who jacked a homerun in the eighth inning off Wisconsin Wannabe reliever John Smoltz to seal the victory for owner Puck. Smoltz, who has been nearly perfect for the Bees, didnt have much to say to reporters.

Basically, I f***ed up, the reliever said after the game. I dont know what else to tell you.
> Wannabes owner Sue refused to talk to the media, instead hopping into a chauffeur-driven sedan after the game, headed for an unknown location.

Pujols, the potential PWFBL MVP meanwhile, found himself soaked with champagne in the visitors lockerroom, enjoying his championship MVP for the night.

I never thought Id get to this point so early in my career, Pujols said. I want to thank Puck for having faith in me, and for trusting me to come up with the big hit when it really counted.
The final score was 253 and change for the Twinkies, to 241 for Wisconsin.

Pujols will likely be back on the Twinkie roster next season. Each team in the PWFBL is allowed to keep four players in 2004, and Puck is showing no signs of letting go his new favorite player.

Albert will wear a Michigan uniform for as long as he wants to, said the happy Twinkies
