| My name is Dexter. My new mom Terrie found me at the local animal shelter - The Denver Dumb Friends League. Can you believe that? Who would give a handsome boy like me up? I guess it doesn't matter. My momma saw me on their website and was waiting outside the very next day. She even got there before they opened just to wait and see me. I love my new home. There's a big back yard and a couple of cats to chase around (just don't bite their tails - I found out that they don't like that very much). The shelter thinks I was about 5 months old when my mean old family dropped me off so that makes my birthday somewhere around 2/27/07. I'm just a baby still and learning all the new rules of the house. No chewing, no peeing inside & no jumping on cats. Gosh ... there's lots to learn! But I'm getting it. | DEXTER IN DISPATCH!! This is a pic of me the first night I came home from the shelter. Since they wouldn't let me go home before I was neutered momma couldn't get off work to pick me up so her friend Liv came and got me. Liv brought me in to my new momma's work to say hi before she took me home. This is a pic of me and my momma in dispatch where she works. Seeing police headquarters was fun but I'm sooooo glad none of the K-9 dogs were in that night. They're a little intimidating for a little guy like me. |
| Momma and her best friend Taffy took me camping at a cool lake in the Rockies. Here's a pic of me in camp looking very cute. And on this trip I discovered how much I like to eat wood. I was a little scared of the woods though. I was afraid that manbearpig might find me. RRRoooar!! |
| Here's another camping pic at Long Lake. We went for a hike there one day. It was fun but my short little legs got pretty tired. I slept so good that night. Momma even let me share her sleeping bag. |
