The Elbow Drop #1

Welcome to the first fortnightly edition of "The Elbow Drop", by yours truly, Flying Elbow!

Well first off it just wouldn't be right starting without mentioning the newest version in the series - Promotion Wars 1.2e. It seems despite "AJ's" hard efforts in replacing the save slots for unlimited saves and the new challenges in the game, the most noticable difference to 1.2d is the new colour scheme. Personally I prefer the blue background with blue buttons, but I honestly don't mind the new background, its just the blue buttons on a black background really don't suit each other. Oh well, hopefully it'll be improved for Promotion Wars 2...

On the subject of 1.2e, I think Adam Jennings has done the right thing by slightly updating the game before Promotion Wars 2. I think some people - or from what I have picked up at the Promotion Wars Arena - thought the game would be the Promotion Wars 2 before Promotion Wars 2, if you get what I mean.

I haven't really tried the Challenge Mode, but from what I have played it really looks good. Many people were expecting a major update, but its a really good game, definately the best yet, so nobody can really complain...

For those of you like me, who prefer Marko Sparko 69's Stat Updates, I can give you some news direct from Marko himself. Last night I E-Mailed Marko Sparko about the 2nd Promotion, and he says theres gonna be a change of Promotions in the next update coming next week. In the last update he asked for peoples views on the Second Promotion, and I said XWF. Anyway, Marko said he'd already made his mind up on a new Promotion, and all will be revealed in the next Update!

On another note, I've heard rumours about anew Sim named Sim X about 99% Complete. I've seen the Screenshots on PWSE, and it looks really good! Currently the game is in the process of being de-bugged, so It should be out soon, although I'm not sure it will be any competition to Promotion Wars though.

2002 is gonna be massive, as far the Wrestling Sim World is concerned. With Extreme Warfare Revenge, Booker Me, Promotion Wars 2, and WAWM all set for a 2002 release. I think there's gonna be more competition than ever, despite Promotion Wars and Extreme Warfare advertising each other on The Message Forums. Still, be warned, 2002 is gonna be Big!

Well, Til Next Time,
Flying Elbow
