[Carlito] Actually, Steph, I came to talk to you about a scandal. [Stephanie McMahon] I'm sorry...a scandal? What kind? [Carlito] A scandal that kept Carlito from becoming PWA Champion. I recieved word from a reliable source that PWA referee Earl Hebner actually had money on CM punk to win the Tournament of Torture and I believe, Steph, that he favorted CM Punk and cost me the PWA Title. [Stephanie McMahon] Let me get this straight. Earl Hebner gambled on CM Punk to win the Tournament of Torture and therefore purposely swayed the match in CM Pun's favor? [Carlito] That's exactly right. You have to do something about this. That's not cool. [Stephanie McMahon] Thank you for informing me, Carlito. I will definately make sure this situation gets taken care of. [With that said, "...To Be Loved" by Papa Roach hits along with the Fusion video. Suddenly, the Target Center in Minneapolis fills with pyros as PWA Fusion comes on the air, live on ESPN.] [Jim Ross] We welcome you live from the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnisota for PWA Fusion! Hello everybody, I'm "Good Ole" J.R. and along side me as always, the "King" Jerry Lawler. [Jerry Lawler] J.R. we are just two weeks away from Vacation to Devastation and already confirmed, a huge Triple Main Event! [Jim Ross] That's right, King. We found out earlier this week, Triple H battles Stone Cold in a No Holds Barred Match. Of course, last week, it was announced that Rock would take on Shane Douglas, and the PWA Heavyweight Title will be decided when Christian challenges CM Punk. [Just then, the reigning champion's music hits and the crowd goes nuts.] [Jim Ross] And folks, we're wasting no time here tonight. What a better way to kick off this edition of Fusion than the number one man in the company? [CM Punk enters the ring as Lillian Garcia introduces him. Punk hands the referee his title and awaits for his opponent. A huge blast then occures at the entrance way and the "Big Red Machine" Kane makes his way to the ring for the opening match.] __________________________________________________ [Non Title Match] [CM Punk vs. Kane] [CM Punk connects with a drop kick, sending the "Big Red Machine" through the ropes. Punk then leaps over the top, landing on Kane. The reigning champion then grabs a steel chair and awaits for Kane to get up. The referee tries to stand in CM's way, but Punk shoves him out of the way and as Kane turns around, Punk blasts him in the skull. The referee immediately calls for the bell and awards the match to Kane.] [Winner (via disqualification) - Kane] [After the bell sounds and Kane is pronounced the winner, Punk begins to unload with a series of chair shots on the monster as the bell continues to ring. Finally, referees rush down the ramp and get ahold of CM Punk and restrain him. Fusion then takes a commercial break.] __________________________________________________ [Commercial Break] __________________________________________________ [When Fusion returns, CM Punk remains in the ring, pacing back and forth with a microphone in hand.] [CM Punk] Kane, Carlito, after what you did to my father, you can expect more to come...I'm not done with you two yet, especially you, Carlito. You broke my neck twice and yet I'm still here, but now, you've gone too far. You made it personal and that means now, I'm going to have to be held accountable for what I do to your ass once I get my hands on you. Now, on to my opponent for Vacation to Devastation, Christian! Christian, on August 26th, you'll have your shot at the PWA Championship. At Vacation to Devastation, you'll finally get the shot you've been waiting your entire life for. But until then, I'm the PWA Champion and I want my damn belt back! [The crowd goes nuts as CM Punk continues.] [CM Punk] And if you don't come out here and give it to me, I'll just go back there and take it! [Just then, Christian's music hits and he and Tomko appear on the stage. Christian, with a microphone in one hand, raises the PWA Championship high in the air as if it was his own.] [Christian] Listen here you little punk, I know what you're up to and I'm not gonna be another victim like Carlito. You wanna cheat your way to the top, that's fine and dandy, but not at my expense. So I've decided to hold on to this title and give it the dignity that it deserves since it's gonna be mine anyway because the PWA doesn't need a cheater like you holding it's most prestigious championship. And just to make sure that Earl Hebner doesn't try to screw another Canadian, I am personally taking it upon my self to make sure that justice is served and Earl Hebner is prosecuted to the fullest extent. [Suddenly, Carlito's music hits and Carlito walks out to the stage.] [Carlito] Christian, I agree with you. Earl Hebner should be prosecuted. But you know who else should be prosecuted...CM Punk. CM Punk, you're just as guilty as Earl Hebner and Carlito is going to make sure that you too are prosecuted to the fullest extent. And when you're sentenced and stripped of the PWA Championship...that...that will be cool. [Suddenly, Stephanie McMahon's music hits and she too walks out on the stage.] [Stephanie McMahon] I agree with the both of you. Justice should be served and since my brother Shane isn't here and I'm in charge tonight, it will be. As of this moment, investigation will begin and until a verdict is reached, sernior referee, Earl Hebner will remain suspended. As for CM Punk, I certainly can not suspend the reigning PWA Champion so as of right now, you will compete without pay and to make sure that the main event of Vacation to Devastation is called by an impartial referee, I am personally naming Carlito the special guest referee and in addition, he will meet the winner of that match on September 11th when the PWA presents Liberty or Death, from Iraq. [With that said, Stephanie's music hits and she makes her way to the back as Carlito smiles and Christian and CM Punk look on in disbelief.]] __________________________________________________ [Commercial Break] __________________________________________________ [Backstage Segment] [When PWA returns, Carlito and Kane, who is still in obvious pain from CM Punk's assault, are shown at the Fusion interview set with Michael Cole.] [Michael Cole] Well I am here with the special guest referee for the main event at Vacation to Devastation, Carlito "the Cool" and the "Big Red Machine" Kane. Now, Carlito, after questioning Earl Hebner's officiating, will you be an impartial judge at Vacation to Devastation considering your relationshpi with CM Punk? [Carlito] What kind of question is that? Of course I will be. [Just then, Christian, with Tomko behind him, walks in to the scene.] [Christian] Wait just a second! Let me make one thing clear, I'm not too high on you being the referee for my title match at Vacation to Devastation either. You think I forgot about when you screwed me last year at Choose or Lose? I know how you are Carlito. You're not screwing me again because this time, I got eyes in the back of my head. Tomko's gonna be watching your every move when your wearing the stripes so don't try anything funny...got it? [Christian walks off and Tomko stops and looks at Kane. The two big men stare one another down before Christian calls for Tomko. Tyson walks off as the scene fades to the arena.] __________________________________________________ [Non Title Match] [Johnny Nitro w/ Melina vs. Hulk Hogan] [Nitro stands Hulk up in the corner, climbs the second rope and begins to hammer away at Hogan until Hogan grabs him and executes an atomic drop. Hogan then follows up with a series of right hands, backing Nitro in to the ropes. Hulk then sends him to the opposite side and catches him with his big boot only to follow it up with a leg drop for the win over the United States Champion.] [Winner - Hulk Hogan] __________________________________________________ [Commercial Break] __________________________________________________ [Singles Match] [Christian w/ Tyson Tomko vs. JTG] [With Christian laying in the corner, JTG continues to hammer away with right hands. JTG then grabs ahold of Christian's head and goes for a running bulldog, but Christian shoves him off, sending him through the ropes and to the outside. Christian, on his hands and knees, distracts the referee, allowing Tomko to level JTG with a big boot. The "Problem Solver" rolls JTG back in to the ring and Christian pulls him to his feet. Christian then plants his opponent with the Unprettier for the win.] [Winner - Christian] [After the match, Christian orders Tomko to hand him two steel chairs. He places JTG's head on top of one and grabs the other one. Christian, with a sadistic look in his eyes, holds the chair up high, but before he can crush JTG's skull, CM Punk rushes to the ring. Christian drops the chair and runs out of the ring, grabbing the PWA Championship while CM Punk begins to exchange lefts and rights with Tyson Tomko. Punk gains the upper hand and begins to deliver Muy-tai kicks to the legs and body of Tomko until he finally retreats and joins Christian, who remains in posession of CM Punk's title at the top of the ramp.] __________________________________________________ PWA Friday Night Fights On August 17th, history will be made. For the first time ever, professional wrestling will grace the prime time slot on one of America's favorite networks. Live from the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut, PWA presents Friday Night Fights on HBO! __________________________________________________ [Commercial Break] __________________________________________________ [Backstage Segment] [As PWA returns from a commercial, Christian and Tomko are once again seen in Stephanie's office.] [Christian] Did you see what CM Punk did to me and Tomko? [Stephanie McMahon] I saw CM Punk try to get his title back... [Well did you see what Carlito said to me? [Stephanie McMahon] I saw Carlito tell you he was going to call the match down the middle... [Christian] I'm serious, Stephanie. Everyone is out to screw me over. This is my one shot at the title! I can't afford to be screwed by Earl Hebner, CM Punk, or Carlito for that matter and besides, Tomko didn't like the way Kane was looking at him. [Stephanie McMahon] What's that have to do with anything? [Christian] What? Are you kidding me? Do you know who I am? I'm Captain Charisma. I'm the number one contender for the PWA Heavyweight Title...as a matter of fact, this title right here says that I am the Heavyweight Champion so by default, that makes Tomko the second most powerful man in the company next to me and he said he didn't like the way Kane looked at him. [Stephanie McMahon] Well it sounds to me like that's a personal problem so here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to allow you and your problem solver to resolve your problems with Carlito and Kane in a tag match at Friday Night Fights. Christian and Tomko against Kane and Carlito! Now get out of my office! [With that said, Christian grabs the PWA Title and he and Tomko leave.] __________________________________________________ [Singles Match] [Triple H w/ Ric Flair vs. The Rock] [The Rock sends Triple H to the ropes and catches him with a spine buster. Rock then sets up for the People's Elbow, sliding his arm pad off and throwing it in to the sea of people. Before he can execute the move, however, Ric Flair hops on the apron and begins to distract the referee With the referee distracted, the "Franchise" Shane Douglas hits the ring and he and the Rock begin exchanging lefts and rights with Rock gaining the upper hand, much like he did last week. Triple H then comes from behind and nails Rock across the back. The "Game" then holds Rock while Shane Douglas pulls out a chain and wraps it around his fist. As Flair continues to distract the referee, Shane Douglas goes to nail Rock with the chain, but Rocky moves and Douglas nails Triple H by accident. The Rock then nails Shane Douglas with a clothesline, sending him over the top rope and to the floor. Rock then hits the ropes and drives his elbow in to Triple H's chest. The referee turns around and sees Rock pinning Triple H and counts the three.] [Winner - The Rock] __________________________________________________ [Commercial Break] __________________________________________________ [Backstage Segment] [As PWA returns from a commercial break, Michael Cole is shown at the Fusion interview set with the "Franchise" Shane Douglas.] [Michael Cole] Shane Douglas, moments ago, you attempted to put Rock away with a steel chain, but instead, you aided Rock in a victory over Triple H, your partner for Friday Night Fights. [Shane Douglas] Look, I made a mistake, but rest assure, it won't happen again. Rock, he beat Triple H, he didn't beat me and he won't beat me and I'm going to prove that at Vacation to Devastation. [Suddenly, Triple H who is being held up by Ric Flair walks over.] [Triple H] What the hell was that? I knew I couldn't trust your ass. [Shane Douglas] I said it was an accident! [Triple H] Accident my ass! I know what that was all about. You're trying to pay me back, aren't you? You still can't get over the fact that I beat your ass in damn near every arena in every state! [Shane Douglas] Last time I checked, I won the final encounter so unless you want a rematch, I suggest you get out of my face! [Just then, PWA security rush to the scene to seperate the bitter rivals-turned partners before any physicality takes place.] __________________________________________________ [Main Event] [Kurt Angle vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin] [As Stone Cold staggers to his feet, Angle comes from behind and attempts an Angle Slam, however, Austin counters, spins Kurt around, kicks him in the gut, and hits him with the Stunner. Austin quickly covers Kurt and as the referee begins to count, Ric Flair yanks him out of the ring. Austin quickly gets up, sees Flair on the outside of the ring smiling, and begins to chase after him. Suddenly, Triple H rushes out and clobbers Austin, sending him rolling down the ramp. The referee signals for the bell, awarding the match to Stone Cold.] [Winner (via disqualification) - Stone Cold Steve Austin] [After the match, Triple H and Ric Flair begin a two on one assault on the "Texas Rattlesnake" busting him wide open with their hard fists. Finally, help arrives in the form of the Rock! Rocky sprints to the ring area and begins to unload on Ric Flair, knocking him over the rail in to the first row. The Rock then spins Triple H around and begins to deliver a series of right hands to the "Game" until Rock's opponent for Vacation to Devastation, Shane Douglas runs out with a chain around his fist. Douglas turns Rock around and blasts him once in the face with the chain wrapped fist. Douglas continues to pound away at Rock with the chain, busting him wide open across the forehead. Triple H and Shane Douglas then back in to one another, quickly turn around, and lock eyes.
