| July 4th, 2007 New York City, NY - Madison Square Garden The Professional Wrestling Alliance returned to network television, live from a sold out Madison Square Garden when PWA presented the return of Fusion on ESPN! In the opening contest, one half of the Outsiders, Kinv Nash, scored a huge victory over the People's Champion The Rock. The action continued when former partners/rivals met in the squared circle. The Legend Killer Randy Orton attempted to add yet another name to his long list of 'dead' legends, however that would not be the case this time. After hitting a devastating Pedigree, The Game hooked the legs and was awarded the victory. The only Olympic gold medalist in the history of the PWA went one on one with the Rated R Superstar. After hitting a Spear, many, including Edge, believed it was over, but some how, Angle was able to get the shoulder up. In another attempt to put his opponent away with a second Spear, Edge charged full speed toward Kurt, but Angle leaps over Edge and the Rated R Superstar crashes, shoulder-first in to the ring post. As Edge backs up, Angle sneaks from behind, hits the Angle Slam and secures the win. In an unexpected turn of events, as John Cena made his way to the ring for his match, he was blind sided by his opponent's personal Problem Solver, Tyson Tomko. Tomko seemingly left Cena for dead after a deadly big boot, right in the face of the Doctor of Thuganomics. Cena's scheduled opponent, Christian would then make his way to the ring in hopes of gaining an easy win, but in yet another unexpected turn of events, John Cena wasn't ready to go down yet. Through out the match ,Christian dominated the already battered Cena, but eventually, Christian's arrogant ways would lead to his downfall. While Christian taunted the fans, waving his hand in his face saying "you can't see me," Cena pulls hiself up, spins Chrisitan round, heaves him up, and plants him with the F-U for the three count. Finally, the time had come for the main event. In one of the most anticpated matches in wrestling history, the one and only Texas Rattlesnake Stone Cold Steve Austin stepped in to the ring to go one on one with the Heart Break Kid Shawn Michaels in front of a sold out, capacity crowd in New York City's Madison Square Garden! After a back and forth match, which consisted of two Sweet Chin Music attempts from Michaels and three Stunner attempts, the third connecting, by Austin, the match ended with Stone Cold's hand being raised in victory. What will happen next week when Fusion hits the Wachovia Center in Philly? The 2007 Tournament of Torture will officially kick off with qualifying matches where the winners will advance on to the Tournament of Torture pay per view on July 29th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada! |
