THE PWA on FOX

SATURDAY NIGHT WRESTLING
Saturdays from 6pm till 8pm (CST) ONLY on
The PWA on FOX

Results of 7/11/98 Show

Tony S: Welcome to another edition of PWA on FOX Saturday Night tonight we in Charlotte, NC. What we are taking a look at is the anticipated arrival of Degeneration-X.

(A black limo pulls into view and comes to a halt. The driver door opens as does the passanager doors. The entire Degeneration-X faction carrying their gym bags exit the limo. Camera goes to a shot of the announcers booth.)

Tony S: It looks as if Nic Cross and Shawn Michaels are not too happy as to the result of the happenings at NeWA ICE. We bring you live here from a sold out crowd in Charotte, North Carolina. I'm Tony Schivone and tonight I am joined by Lee Marshall and the "Living Legend" Larry Zybisco.

Larry Z: Schivone, there is no pleasing any of these guys. ICE was just another example of how factions like the New World Order, Fourth Dynasty and DX are nothing but a bunch of egomaniacs.

Tony S: Nonetheless, they are here and somebody is planning to make it on top.

Lee M : The way things are heading 4 seems to be having the upper hands as far as the realm of the NeWa is concerned.

Tony S: It appears that way, but can DX or the NWO stop them from invading the PWA?

Larry Z: I say that the PWA is the organization that is going to be on top.

Tony S: We can only hope.

The DX theme music begins to play throughout the arena. The crowd moderate cheers turn into a mob sounding roar. The chants for DX begin to deafen in the arena. Nic Cross and the entire DX faction make their decent to the ring.

Tony S: This spells trouble from the looks of it!

Larry Z: The only trouble I sense is that I don't think that Nic Cross can keep his mouth shut!

DX enters the ring. Shawn Michaels takes center stage of the ring and crouches down. He surveys the fans around him, and begins to flex his muscles. Fireworks behind him begin to explode, and the crowd cheers even louder. Nic Cross gives the audience a crotch chop signifiying the DX motto. Cordelia grabs the mic and hands it to Cross.

N. Cross: You know something, the world of the NeWa has changed a lot since I have been in it. It first started off this great elborate organization that put the top wrestlers into perspective. Look at it now, the newest and most dementing part of it, '4.' People thought we were bad. Well, since ICE turned out to be the biggest crock of s$%% in history of the NeWa, we came to realize something in the locker room that night. '4' after wrestling with you morons we have come to notice that you are not a faction or stable that is of high credibility. No, actually you guys are just a wrestlers solution of the 12 step recovery program. Hell, you have the number of members for it! Join '4' today, and you will learn the basics of how to be idiotic, illerterate jobbers. Let's take it from the top, Don't be mistaken from our performance the other night at ICE, cause catch us when we are ready, and your sure as hell will be the ones who get put on ICE. So feel free if any of you fools in '4' would like a piece of me, how about you Riggs? Sign it for Summerslam, 4 members. And I will Silence you 4 - Life!

Cross tosses the mic to Jericho.

C. Jericho: Hello Jerichoholics! Welcome to another edition of Jericho on FOX! We all know you are excited to see me tonight, and I am excited to see you. Well, as you can see the NeWa is plotting a conspiracy against Degeneration-X and the Old World Order. IT"S JUST NOT FAIR!! I AM TELLING YOU IT'S NOT FAIR! WE SHOULD HAVE WON!!!

Maxim and Verge of the Syndicate attempt to calm down Jericho by patting him on the back.

Michaels takes the mic.

S. Michaels: It has been a long time since I have had a chance to speak to you people. Well, it is time again for Degeneration-X to get things straightened out here in the PWA. Summerslam is the place to do it. All the recent events going on, I think I would like to start off with some ass kicking with "The Rock" Rocky Mavia! Mavia, know your role and bring your sorry carcass to Summerslam, and I will show you how to put the smack down on someone for good!! And for all you who have a problem with that I got two words for ya: The entire arena shout in unisonSUCK IT!!

Vader pinned Ultimo Dragon with the Power Bomb in 0:12:19.

(Lee Marshall steps throught the ring ropes clutching a microphone and a card. He coughs and looks up at the audience ready to speak...) Marshall: Tonight Ladies and Gentlemen I would like to announce an open challenge. A challenge which is directed at a faction which has it`s home here in PWA Wrestling. Tonight ladies and gentlemen.. a challenge has been made to ANY members of the organisation known as the NWO! Now I won`t reveal the source of the challenge. I`ll let them speak for themselves...

(Trust by Megadeth begins to play. The crowd begin to yell in expectation as the song builds up. Suddenly the curtains are thrown aside and Steve Elliott strides out into the arena, dressed in a baggy white suit, his long blond hair flapping as a vast gust of wind blows down upon him. Beside him walk Kevin Nash, Robert Bayley and Iron Mike Samson. Chris Champion can be seen beside the mighty Nash. The fans explode in a huge roar and Elliott nods to his comrades and is handed a microphone.)

Elliott: Welcome Charlotte, NC !! TEAM SUPREME are back and ready to lay down the smack!! (Elliott grins, removes his designer jacker and hits a pose. Suddenly his grin vanishes and a serious expression emerges on his face.)

On a serious note, tonight TEAM SUPREME have got important business to discuss. We re-emerged as a force only one week ago, but everywhere I go I see TEAM SUPREME plastered. In the papers, on billboards, even on the TV. You see the media can`t get enough of us. Steve Danger Elliott is quite used to media exposure, infact many fans may remember that I individually boosted the former IPW into a world renown federation. Tonight TEAM SUPREME make no exceptions... we are prepared to step into the ring against any members of the faction known as the NWO. Now I realise that cowards like you Severn will be hiding behind your minions! That`s quite alright! TEAM SUPREME are quite prepared to go through each and everyone of your lackeys until the walls have been broken down and all that remains of the debris is a quaking Dan Severn hiding behind an empty trash can like the cowardly vermin that you are!! Therefore tonight at the top of the bill TEAM SUPREME will select two members to step in the ring against any two members of your NWO! I really don`t care who you choose... (Elliott turns to his comrades) Nash are you bothered? (Nash shakes his head) Bayley old buddy what`d you say? (Bayley shrugs and Samson gives a similar response.) Ok everything is sorted, the only thing left now for me to say is this... NWO the ball is in your court.. you`ve got control! You can try and salvage some dignity and step into the ring tonight or you can take the likely cowards way out and leave via the parking lot! Well the message has been told, there ain`t nothing left to say. TEAM SUPREME are out and away!!!

(Elliott hits a pose and the other members play to the crowd before departing through the curtains)

Jesse Evans: I have not seen that B-movie actor Pete Jackson since we kicked the crap out of him. HAHAHA Jackson, you and Stewart better show up at Summer Slam so we can take the World Tag Titles, little chickens. HAHAHA.

Dan Severn: I can not wait till Summer Slam, when me and Dennis Rodman end that hippy Kevin Nash and the pest Chris Champion. Rodman is in the gym training as we speak. The Icon must leave and join him now. Remember, if you NWO your NWO FOR LIFE!!!

(Ahmed Johnson's music blares over the PA. The powerhouse from Pearl City walks through the curtain to a thunderous ovation. He makes his way to the ring and steps inside. He waits for his opponent.

The Inquest's music begins to play over the PA. "The Rock" Rocky Maivia struts through the curtain and he is followed by General Skandar Akbar. They stop just outside the curtain and Rocky is handed a mic by the General.)

Maivia: Ahmed Johnson, it is time for "The Rock" to teach you a lesson. "The Rock" is gonna lay the smack down on you in the name of The Inquest. And just to make sure you don't try to pull off any tricks, Brian Christopher will be joining us at ringside as well as my manager.

("Shiek" Brian Christopher walks through the curtain. The boos he recieves are almost deafening. He high-fives Rocky and all three men walk to the ring.)

Close to the end of the match

(Ahmed Johnson sets Rocky up for the "Pearl River Plunge", but Brian Christopher enters the ring and hits Johnson from behind. The ref calls for the bell and Maivia is disqualified. The hit to Johnson's back has him stunned and "Shiek" takes advantage of this. He drills him with many punches and kicks until Ahmed is on the ground. General Akbar enters the ring and helps kick the fallen Johnson. Rocky recovers and moves Christopher and Akbar out of the way. He slowly removes his right elbow pad, he is going to hit Ahmed with "The People's Elbow"! Rocky runs to the ropes to his left and bounces off. He jumps over Johnson and hits the ropes to the right. Rocky runs towards his victim, but instead of delivering "The Elbow" he nails Christopher with a crushing forearm to the head! Rocky punches "Shiek" in the face and then hits him with "Rock Bottom". General Akbar is stunned at this turn of events, Christopher is out cold, and Johnson is getting back to his feet. Rocky turns to the General and grabs him by the collar. "The Rock" asks the fans if they want him to deck Akbar. The cheers let Rocky know that the answer is yes. Before Rocky can deliver the punch, however, he is attacked by Inquest members The Brotherhood of Pain, Otis Walker and Joe Cress. This gives Akbar time to leave the ring. They start to beat Rocky down, but Ahmed Johnson pulls Cress off of "The Rock"! He hits "Smokin" Joe with the "Pearl River Plunge". Rocky fights back and is able to hit Walker with "Rock Bottom". They throw The Brotherhood out of the ring where

General Akbar is pulling out the still motionless Brian Christopher. Rocky grabs a mic.)

Maivia: "The Rock" just did what he did for two reasons. One, "The Rock" is sick of hearing all of this trash being talked about his home country. "The Rock" is a proud American. Two, "The Rock" just couldn't pretend any longer. He is tired of acting like he agrees with Jerry Lawler, oops, I mean "Mustafa Akeem". It is time for "The Rock" to run the show."The Rock" knows it is time for him to step up and take control. "The Rock" needs to gets some wrestlers together to help him get on top of the PWA. "The Rock" knows it is time to form the best damn stable of wrestlers the world has ever seen.(Rocky turns to Johnson and extends his hand.)

Maivia: Ahmed Johnson, can you smell what "The Rock" is cookin'? Join me and help "The Rock" form his collection of superstars.

(Ahmed stares at Rocky for a long time. He finally takes "The Rock's" hand and they shake.) Johnson: Yeah, I can smell it. You want the best and you come to me first. That makes sense. What you did tonight tells me that you mean what you say. We're gonna deal with these Inquest boys then we're gonna head for the belts. Let's do it brotha.

(On the outside, Brian Christopher has finally come to. The other men at ringside have been listening to what has been going on and they can't believe their ears. General Akbar grabs a mic and begins to speak, but Rocky cuts him off.) Maivia: General, know your role and shut your mouth! Your role is to go tell Lawler what "The Rock" just said. There is a new force in town, and that force is The Nation.

(Maivia and Johnson both raise their right fists into the air. The fans erupt in cheers for the new Nation. The members of The Inquest leave the ringside area, hanging their heads in shame. "The Rock" and Ahmed soak up more cheers. After a few minutes, they leave and go up the aisle.)

Shawn Michaels defeated Johnny Smith by countout in 0:11:46.

The Giant pinned Scott Norton with the Choke Slam in 0:19:00.

(Backstage Steve Elliott is approached by an interviewer. Elliott is dressed in wrestling trunks and is wearing a TEAM SUPREME bandana on his head. As the interviewer approaches, Elliott turns and smiles atthe camera.) Interviewer: Mr Elliott I see you are dressed in your wrestling attire, does this mean that we can expect to see you in action tonight? Elliott: Quite correct, myself and the rest of TEAM SUPREME sat around out back, discussed strategy and came to a decision. I feel that it is my duty to step in the ring tonight. The fact of the matter is Steve Elliott made the initial challenge and Steve Elliott needs to be man enough to back it up. I ain`t the sort of guy who starts trouble and gets my big buddies like Nash and Samson to fight my battles for me! That ain`t the Elliott way and that ain`t the TEAM SUPREME way! The main difference between TEAM SUPREME and NWO is that although we are both cohesive units bonded together, TEAM SUPREME respects the right for everyman to fight his own battle. Everyman needs to stand up for himself. We fight together, but we do the honourable thing, we don`t interfere, we don`t jump our opponents. TEAM SUPREME are the role models for the millenium. Anyhow, I appreciate being able to share this little chit chat with all my fans sat at home watching in admiration around the world. Just being able to convey a message to all the youngsters giving them an insight in how to live a better and fulfilled life, gives me great satisfaction because I know that so many people look up to me, kind of like a big brother figure...

(Kevin Nash enters the room and shouts to Elliott) Nash: Stevie! You better get ready for your match!

(Elliott winks at the camera, flexes his biceps and jogs after Nash who has just departed)

Ring Announcer: Ladies and Gentlemen! Coming down the aisle is a team of two men, they represent the organisation of TEAM SUPREME and wear their colours proudly. These two men have stood side by side many times before, but tonight they are reunited under the brotherhood which made them legendary in the past. Ladies and Gentlemen here are the team of..... Steve `Danger` Elliott and Robert `Blaze` Bayley!!!!!

(Trust by MegaDeth begins to play. There is a brief silence and then both Elliott and Bayley slowly walk out into the arena. Accompanying them is Chris Champion. As the music builds up Elliott and Bayley look at each other and nod. Elliott hits and pose and points at Bayley. Both men then walk slowly down the aisle greeting many of the fans. Elliott snatches a sign from a teenage female fan. It reads `Elliott is number one!` Elliott nods and and kisses the fan. As they approach the ring both men leap over the top rope and give each other a high five. Their NWO opponents back off warily as Elliott and Bayley step towards them.)
