Richard Barron: The last few weeks, I have made a fool out of myself, with my association with Jerry Lawler. That was out of desperation. I have been hard on myself as of last. I began the year a World Champion, something I longed for all my career. I got cocky and lost it. Then I lost my International Title, which I had held a year. I felt my career was in trouble, so I took Lawler�s cheap offer. I am sorry and apologize to any and all who I offended with that. I have talked with Mr. Fredrickson and Mr. Champion and decided that it would in my best interest to leave the PWA for the rest of year and return home to Europe. Thank you.

I have to finish this war with Lawler, end it for good. We have been fighting for six years. I have put the hate for you, Lawler, away. I more or less pity you. You are lost and sick sonofabitch. They only to end this is to put out of this sport, for good. I need you, the wrestling fans behind me. You were all Lawlers victim, as much as me. You believed in him and he stabbed you in the back. I admit, I turned on you too, but it was that damn hate for Lawler that made me do it. Let TRY to start over, ok?
