Dear Parents, Coaches involved in PVYA Basketball,
It has come to the attention of the Pleasant Valley Youth Association (PVYA) Board of Directors (BOD) that our privilege of the use of the Pleasant Valley school facilities is being abused.
It is a privilege for our organization to use the school facilities, and as such it is the responsibility of the BOD to ensure that school district procedures and policies are enforced. Abuse of privilege can result in the loss of facility use.
Therefore, the position of the PVYA BOD is as follows:
Any child who pulls a fire alarm, dials 9-1-1 or destroys school property will be immediately removed from the program.
Any fines, fees or replacement costs incurred by PVYA for such incidents will become the responsibility of the parent of said child.
If the child involved in the situation is a sibling/ friend of a PVYA athlete who has been brought to the facility during PVYA scheduled time, the PVYA athlete attached to that individual will be removed from the program and the child involved will not be allowed to join any PVYA programs.
Any parent whose child abuses privilege, who then becomes verbally abusive to a PVYA representative or a PVSD representative (including, but not limited to custodians and security officers), will be banned from any PVYA activities.
PVYA BOD will work in conjunction with any authorities where fines are imposed.
If a privilege has been abused and the individual is not identifiable, but the team is known, that team will be banned from use of that facility. No additional practice time will be given to make up for that loss.
If issues persist with a particular team, that team will forfeit all remaining games for the current season.
The PVYA BOD takes a tough stance on personal responsibility and facility abuse. Notification by your coach of this stance, as well as reference to this website, will serve as your only notice to this information.

Sincerely,
PVYA BOD
