264. Hans Jacob Nusli
He was called "der Toufer" in 1634 when he was living at Oberlangerhart, Zell. He was also called son of Conrad. In 1634 and 1650 his wife and sons, Hans, Jacob and Jorg were living with him. His family was not in the next census of Zell in 1643. They did not return to vicinity in 1644 when he was put in jail at Ottenbach, urich with Jacob Gochenauer, Henry Frick, Conrad Strickler and Hans Huber.
272. Christian Stauffer
Christian was an Anabaptist. At the baptism record at Rothenbach of his daughter Madlena in 1611, it stated that Christian was the son of "Claus of Luchsmatten"
He was exiled with his second wife from Glashutte farm in Eggiwil in the fall of 1671. He was living at Dirmstein, Germany in December 1671 and at Ibersheim, Germany in January 1672. Some of his children and grandchildren were exiled with him. He may have been the Christian Stauffer who was an Anabaptist preacher who with Uli Zaugg and Uli Neuhaus were being hunted by the government in 1644. His children were christened at Rothenbach, but were probably all born at Luchsmatt farm in Eggiwil which lies near the border of Eggiwil and Rothenbach parishes.

He lived at Bruder Haus with his parents in 1633, age 28. He lived at Haruit, Hirzel in 1649 with his six children. He was living at Hirzel in 1656 with his wife and eight children.

He was arrested with his wife and banished from Basel in 1616. They returned, however, and the authorities left them alone. he was called an Anabaptist in the church records of Sissach in 1616, 1620, and 1624
