Most of our ancestors are of Pennsylvania Dutch extraction. Some were "Gay Dutch", i.e. Luthers and Reformed. Some were "Plain Dutch", i.e. Mennonite and Brethren. But whatever the case, they were a hard working, God earing people whom we revere and love. They made it possible for us to be here oday. We dedicate these pages to those that went before us. Thank you!!.".

1Paul Lee Stickley, Stickley, Paul Lee , Imported from Ancestry World Family Tree/[email protected], Mar 2001. "You may thank Patricia (Russell) Stickley, Ellsworth Stickley, Caroline Stickley, Consuelo Miller, Darlton K. Stickley, and several other Stickleys who want their efforts unknown & secret, for a variety of reasons unknown even to me. The ones named freely gave the data to me without restrictions. I never intended to publish the data provided, but one day six years ago, or was it seven, I was approaced by a consortium of cousins to join with them in developing the Stickley Genealogy, which I did. I then gave them the data given to me by those named in this letter. We each had about 1200 names, but crossing out the overlaps, we had a database of almost 7,000 names. The cut off of the first eight generation resulted in 2940 names. We did not want to include in the database any one living. The years have shrunken the number in the consortium; we are now smaller. But thank Pat, she provided the most complete FGS. Thank Ellswworth, his genealogy of over a thousand in 1982 was the first.".".
