PVDA THREE DAY RIDING CAMP

 

Featuring:

Pilates – Dressage Clinics – Equine & Human Massage – Horse/Rider Chiropractic Sessions

 

Date:  August 26-28, 2005

Place:  Lucky Cricket Farm, Huntingtown, MD

Cost:  Dependant on sessions (see below)

Opening Date: June 6, 2005

Closing Date: August 6, 2005

 

Pilates:   Pilates classes will be offered on Friday and Saturday mornings prior to the dressage clinics.  The instructor is Amy Currier. 

Participants should wear clothing they can move in and bring a towel or mat.  The cost is $8 per session.

 

Dressage Clinic:  On Friday and/or Saturday you can ride with FEI competitor and instructor Vanessa Swartz.  Forty-five (45)

minute private and semi-private sessions are available for $75 or $65 respectively.  On Sunday you can ride with Susan White. 

Only forty-five (45) minute private sessions are available, for $75.  Plan to have your horse warmed up and ready to go.

 It’s requested that you have a short write-up of you and your horse, to review, before you begin.

 

Equine Massage:  Equine massage is available Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with Massage Therapist, Pam Link.  Slots are very

limited, so sign-up early.  Cost is $50 per horse.

 

Human Massage:  Human massage is provided by Valerie Watson of At the Bay Healing Arts Center.  Individual sessions

 are available for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.  Table massage is $60 per hour and seated sessions are available for $1.00 per minute.

 

Horse/Rider Chiropractic:  Chiropractic sessions are available with Dr. Dave O’Brien, Chiropractor and Certified Equestrian Fitness Trainer.

 Sessions are a half hour and available only on Sunday.  Horse evaluations are prior to rider on-the-horse evaluations.  Sessions will emphasize

 exercises to improve the rider’s equestrian ability.  The cost per session is $65.

 

Other Info:  Stabling fees are $20 per day or $45 for Thursday evening thru Sunday afternoon.  Lunch, snacks, and drinks will be

available on all three days.  Sessions are slotted on a first come, first serve basis.  Final cost is dependant on pending PVDA subsidy.
