The Hope of Easter

A lonely hill - A wooden cross

An angry crowd enraged

Christ Jesus and three rusty nails

This was the price He paid.

The sky grew dark - the crowd grew quiet

As on the cross He hung.

"Forgive them Father," Jesus cried

They know not what they've done.

Then buried in a borrowed tomb

A stone to make a door.

But three days later He arose

He lives forever more!

He came to His disciples, though

He did not have to prove

He gave His life - then rose again

And all because of LOVE

Today He sits upon His throne

His Father's right hand man.

And yet He lives within the heart

Of every true Christian.

This Easter morn look up, look up

Toward the Eastern sky

Be sure to watch and listen

Redemption draweth nigh.

He's only just a prayer away

Just ask and you will see

He will forgive and pardon you

For all eternity.

So let Him in your heart today

Accept the price He paid

Then keep Him there forevermore

Oh JOYOUS EASTER DAY!
