Welsh Facts
Here are a few facts about Wales the country.
- At it's narrowest point Wales in only 40 miles wide.
- 100 miles at it's widest point.
- There are 400 naturally occuring lakes.
- There is 732 miles of coastline ( every inch of
it being very beautiful .... okay ... i'm biased.)
- In 1999 the population of Wales was 2.9 million.
- 77% of the population
was born in Wales.
- There are 16 summits over 2000 feet.
- Another 7 summits measure over 3000 feet.
- Five signatories on
the American Declaration of Independence originated from Wales.
- Are you ready for this one .... The longest railway station
name in the world is in Wales ..... can you get your tongue around this .....
