I was born and raised in the northern Virginia suburbs of Washington, D.C. I moved to North Carolina at the age of 16. After graduating from high school, I attended Elon University in Elon, North Carolina and majored in Elementary Education.
Over the years I have worked with children in many different environments including participating in Girl Scouts, working at a drop-in day care facility, and tutoring several elementary to middle school age students.
