Edgar Allan Poe

1. Edgar Allan Poe was born on January 19, 1809 in Boston, Massachusetts.
2. He attended the University of Virginia in 1826, but he was expelled for not paying his debts in gambling.
3. He suffered from depression and in 1848 he attempted suicide.
4. In 1836 he married his 13 year old cousin, Virginia Clemm, who died of tuberculosis, after being sick from a burst blood vessel.
5. He died on October 7, 1849 in Baltimore.
