As you may or
may not know, I am a Disney addict. I may not have
admitted it at first, but now that the world
is beginning to realize that there ARE good shows on The
Disney Channel, it's okay to say so. Among these wonderful
shows is
Even Stevens, a masterpeice in its own right. This is where I
discovered Margo Harshman, and immediately recognized her talent.
Upon finding out that she had no bio on the Disney website (which
is ridiculous, considering her importance to the show),
I searched until I found her official page (http://www.margoharshman.com/), and found out that she answered
fan-mail.
This is how the interview began. And after all my banter, here it
is...

1) Is your name really Margo? There
are suspicions that it is really Maurry... But seriously, is
Margo short for anything? (It's a really cool name, by the way.)
Maurry????? hahahaha,
where in the world did that come from? no, my name is margo.
that's it. just margo. it isnt short for anything.
2) Do you see yourself staying in
Orange, CA or do you plan to move on to other towns/states when
you are older?
ill probably
end up somewhere closer to l.a. eventually. id like to go to
u.c.l.a. or santa barbara in a couple of years, and if i continue
to audition, and maybe film, it would be better if i didnt have
to drive so far.
3) The obligatory age question: How
old would you like to be at this moment?
i like the age
that i am, but after im 18, ill be able to make all my decisions
without asking for permission first, and that's appealing to me.
4) Is acting it for you, or do you
want to try other career paths?
i love acting,
and i cant imagine my life without it, but im attending college.
right now, id like to major in philosophy and minor in math, but
anything can change.
5) Out of all the productions you've
worked on (or productions you are currently working on), which
one was/is your favourite?
wow, my
favorite..... i loved them all, but i think that because even
stevens was long, and i made some close friendships, and it
was like growing up in an additional family, i think it has to be
the best. i also loved working on recipe for disaster, but for
different reasons.
6) You don't have to drop any names,
but do you get along with *all* your co-workers on the set of
'Even Stevens?'
i get along
with everyone. the cast of even stevens was very talented. some
of my relationships on even stevens were working
relationships, while others were close, personal
friendships.
7) I hear you are learning to play the
guitar, and already play the piano. Do you ever jam with
co-workers off-screen? (I heard Shia LeBeouf plucks a little
git-fiddle himself.)
shia, a.j.,
and i, and some others have jammed together at the set while we
werent working.
8) Do you actually watch the Disney
Channel?
i love boy
meets world. i watch when i can. i dont have a lot of time to
watch t.v., though.
9) Obligatory Supa-Secret-Crush
Question: Who is your Supa-Secret-soon-not-to-be-secret Celebrity
crush?
im going out
with shia, but that's not a secret. ive always had a crush on
fred savage.
10) Do you find my over-use of hyphens
horrifying? What is something that you find yourself over-using
(i.e. words, grammatical mistakes, sugar...)?
i hadnt
noticed the hyphens until you mentioned it. i find myself over
using the ............'s in emails. i dont use capitals and i
shorten everything that i possibly can in emails. im not sure i
get more done that way or not, but it feels like i do.
Thank
you, Margo, for agreeing to the interview, and for
the lovely photo.
