| Godless Isle of Croalion |
| Isle of Croalion:
Ruled by a cannibalistic giant, King Oranoga, the Isle of Croalion is universally avoided by those who ply the seas. Due to the islands unique volcanic shape, it is highly defensible against any sort of landing operation. The Croalian people row out from the island to sack ships and bring them back. Occasionally they simply row out to trade, but few trust them. King Oranoga is a massive giant who feeds solely on living humans. Through a strange magic ritual linked to the Croalia volcano, King Oranoga and his elite followers grow in size and strength as they eat people, becoming giants. These massive warriors often sail out after passing ships in order to help bring them in. The people of Croalion are, in general, warlike savages. They survive through equal parts fishing, piracy, and raids on coast villages. The drive to bring back foodstuffs and captives is constant, as the King and his elite followers require constant human meat to maintain their great size. If the Croalian people fail to bring in enough in the way of food and captives, they themselves are eaten. Croalion was left entirely unmolested during the Zarathos War. Encounters: Native warriors and native giants. There are no animals left on Croalion, as the native long ago ate them all. Ancient Legend: The giants of Croalion care not a jot for gold. Thus, the riches of all of the people theyve killed, and ships theyve sacked have been tossed in a great midden heap. Legend has it, that over a million Manat, and uncounted enchanted items, lay buried amongst the bones and effects of the cannibals victims. |
