June 2001 Dear,..... On behalf of the students at Cockatoo Primary School, I write to you & your company to seek support for a very special technology program conducted at our school. Not only would you be supporting an exciting initiative in our school community, I believe your company would recieve excellent promotion from our school and the fantastic competition that culminates this program. Our grade 6 children are a part of a program called the RACV Energy Breakthrough Project, which involves students, parents and teachers working together to build energy efficient vehicles. (a letter from the children is enclosed) Our efforts from concept & design to construction, training & racing are tested in November 2001 at the RACV Energy Breakthrough in Maryborough, Victoria. An annual event attracting over 3,000 participants & more than 10,000 volunteers & spectators. For the past 5 years attracting the attention of both channel 10 & Win TV8. This year we are entering 2 pushcarts & teams into the competition & we would greatly appreciate your sponsorship to help us pay for our registration fees, construction materials, uniform, safety equipment etc. All sponsors will be acknowledged and specifically sponsors of over $150, we make this promise to you: That we will actively promote your business & your generous support, by means of: * Boldly printing your name/business on our official team uniforms as well as pit crew & supporters t-shirts * Acknowledgements in the school newsletter * An acknowledgement in articles appearing in the local press. (we plan to have frequent exposure in all of the local papers. * Prominent representation on our official website, with links to your own site OR (for sponsors of $250 or more) 1 web-page dedicated to your business.
