Here you got a pretty new band that havent been around for that long, since july 2005 to be exact. These three guys comes from Philippines and are probably one of the best bands that I've ever heard from Philippines (not that I've heard that many, but of the few that they I've heard these guys are probably one of the best). What they have accomplished in not much longer than a year pretty much overshadowes everything that I've heard lately when it comes to death/grind/gore and I even think that they have a pretty unique feel to them at the same time as they come out sounding like everything that you would like about this genre of music. If I would have to namedrop a couple of bands that these guys sound like then it would have to be the following: Lust of decay (their first cd), Pustulated (their first cd), Gutrot and maybe Human Mincer. Vocals are really "full" and powerfull, shifting between the kind of vocals that Matti Way did on Cranial Impalement (I know it's big words, but you gotta hear this guy) and maybe a hint of Neil Ruppert (Dyscrasia (RIP), Plerosis), so Marco, if you read this, you are definantly one of the best vocalists that I've heard lately! What would be a "setback" would in that case be the production that is kinda raw and it sounds kinda "thin" since they only got one guitar and no bass. On the other hand I think that it really fits the purpose of Pus Vomit and it gives them an obscure and really "disgusting" feel as well. Apart from 3 studio tracks you also get 4 live tracks, ok, so the sound is really muddy and sometimes you cant really make out everything thats going on, but shit.. they are really cool live and everytime a slow or groovy parts sets in and the kickdrums sets in I drop my jaw in excitement. It literally makes me wanna snap my back in two and beat my knuckles into a bloody mush. This is definantly something that you should check out if you like brutal music, dosent matter if you are into technical stuff or slam-oriented death metal or even brutal grind/hc, this is something that I can pretty much say everyone could love as long as you like extreme music!

I'm glad to see some Filipino bands sprouting nowadays into goregrind acts. This 3 piece band quite new as a baby. But this caviteno are very inspired to follow some of their influences into goregrind music. Marco (vocals) of PV are the one who gave me this promo cdr they have to make a review for this. Well, PV is like I've said play into gory grindcore music. Even the quality of the cover they provide are less you can still see directly on the layout some slashed bloody body they want to show. On this promo sampler you can feel how heavy and dedicated this band. The vocals play into deep gory vocals with their intense noisy riffs of guitar. The drums play very tight with a fast blast pounding beats. What I expect next is to see good sound recordings and more tracks on it. The guitar and drum work are tight as a virgins cunt. It could have been better particularly with the guitars but I'm not complaining. PUS VOMIT [VOMIT THE ABDOMINAL PUS] CDR - PHILIPPINES There is always something special about "the first". May it be your first tattoo, first time to have sex, first wife... Er, you get the picture. Anyway, I received Pus Vomits' first demo during their first ever live performance (The show where I got arrested. But that's a different story) in late 2005. These Cavite�os' overwhelming mixture of brutal death metal and gore-grind arguably made them steal that show. The initial demo is a four song straight-up and gritty live rehearsal room recording, which despite having a rough sound, was still able to capture the raw power and conviction of the performance. On the other hand, the second demo - tagged Vomit The Abdominal Puss - is a studio re-recording of three songs off the first offering. The studio version gives the listener a better glimpse of Pus Vomits' sick capabilities. Aside from being wickedly in-your-face and relentless in delivery, it will undoubtedly surprise a lot of people because of how professional this sounds. Check out the repeating pinch harmonics on the last part of the third song, the heinous Malodorous Butchery, where the guitars sound like a screaming ballistic missile (Warning: May cause your dog to go insane) then crashes down into a bulldozing climax. This is the most brutal Death/grinders I've heard from my hoods in Cavite and just recently formed this year! I have witness these guys vomiting live and I am looking forward for another butchering night! The demo contains 4 tracks butchered growls and death vomit grinding, this is a rehearsal demo but the sound recording is not bad though!- corix
