Thanksgiving 2003 was blessed with family and friends and turned out to be absolutely wonderful. It was the second Thanksgiving The Dugger Family had in their home. In attendance were Keith, Katie, Brian, Alison, Chris (Katie's nephew), Eric (Friend of Chris' from Tech School), Box-Leigh and last but not least, Blackie.
The day started early, 0600 (6:00 AM). Keith was up making the marinade for the turkey, which he discovered while watching Food TV, and Katie & Brian started the cleaning and puppy duties. Alison seemed to have lucked out for about and hour or so because Katie was nice and put her in the "big" bed to finish her sleep.
The SNACKS: Ham roll ups (old recipe), cut veggies, nuts (other than the Dugger Family), and olives. The MENU: Turkey (FoodTV recipe), mashed potatoes, greenbeans (Keith's southern recipe), corn, stuffing (Keith's Mom's recipe), rolls (regular & cresent), cranberry sauce, and gravy.
Chris & Eric arrived around 1300 (1:00 PM) or a little there after and just relaxed (or were attacked by the kids) as much as possible. They had just dropped off friends at the airport.
Lunch/dinner was served around 1500 (3:00 PM) and it was delicious! We all ate too much and decided to have some dessert. There were 3 to choose from: Lemon Merange Pie, Chocolate cake & Cheesecake. All were delicious, but the Lemon Merange didn't do justice to Katie's grandmother's, but it was okay.
