There are many animals in shelters which need a good home. Many of their lives depend upon adoption, if you are considering a pet please consider rescuing an animal from a shelter. The Humane Society is a great place to look. |

If you live in Maryland (and even if you do not) there are two excellent no-kill cat shelters who have several great animals that would love a good home. Even if you cannot adopt they are great organizations and could really use some help. A small donation could really make a difference. You can read about them and see the cats up for adoption at "Safe at Last Rescue" and "Heavens Gate Animal Rescue". |

I have just recently learned of a site that is able to feed animals in need due to sponsors which donate food to the organization for "clicks" they get on their website. Please stop by the animal rescue site and click on the "feed an animal in need button". It is free, with no strings attached and each click generates food for an animal in a shelter or sanctuary.
