I am one of the advisors for our dance ministry at Trinity Baptist Church. Specifically, I am responsible for providing leadership to the group in the ages of 13 to 22. We have two other groups, the Angels (5 to 12) and Anointed Adults (22 and up). We are interested in having you come and speak to your ministry and assist in understanding the purpose of liturgical dance. Also, some of the do's and don'ts of what to wear (e.g., make-up, hair, etc). I am interested in having you teach a dance to the Dancers for Christ (ages 13 to 22). Therefore, please let me know if this is something you are available to do. If it is, I would like to schedule a meeting with you, the other advisors and our Pastor to discuss cost and particulars. Without people like Lenita Williamson, our culture is a little more debased and our dialogue a bit more coarse. Much love and respect is given to the pop culture of hip-hop, but you've got to know where we've been to understand where we're going. Lenita understands that and she is committed to her craft and a believer in the African-American aesthetic. She's also just a damn fine human being. Peace out.
