Pat has drawn and painted all her life, painted theatre sets and worked
professionally as a freelance digital illustrator until recently.
Pat now lives an almost self-sufficient lifestyle in the Wombat Forest
at Glenlyon, near Daylesford.
"Since moving to live in the forest, I have been struggling to depict the
area, the rocky land, the forest, the bark, the wild flowers and fungus.
I want to capture the essence of the forest, the patterns and the moods.
Having lived most of my life on the coast with Bass Strait at my doorstep,
adjusting to the inland and the forest has been a challenge."
Environmental art and textures are now a major part of her
artistic exploration. |
