HALO VS MUSE After
several lazy press comparisons of Halo and indie band Muse it's getting
boring. Cult Of Halo thought we'd take our totally unbiased view on
the situation, and set the record straight once and for all. Just
who is copying who? And does being pretentious make a band sound any
better?
|

|
Muse have a prententious image amongst the press and music fans. Just
look at their gigs - |
Halo
are very down to earth and friendly
when meeting their fans. No pretention, or at least clever enough not to act it in public ;) |

Their
blind hairdresser obviously mistakes *that* mess of a hair cut for something
nice. Not very close friends then?
|
Unlike their over-complicating image counterparts, Halo keep it short,
smart, and dyed.
Graeme Moncrieff did the honours becoming the first mohicaned member of the band. |

How
many poor covers does one band
have to dish out before it gets tiresome? Just the one... |
Even
at the infancy of their bright career, Only for You invokes the highest
emotional response for the majority of Halo fans. Depth

Muse
have been around for longer but have no depth or originality to their
new material.
Same old, same old... |
Halo
have supported a huge number of British and American rock bands. They
have consistently been the better band on the bill.
|
|||||
|
Muse
- good support act, excellent pop show band, consistent festival filler
but not much else
|
Not only that - the bands Halo support either are poor excuses for a
rock band (sorry Wheatus) or disappear of the face of the earth(Ocean
Colour Scene anyone?)
