You Belong To Me CH 3

Nik woke up and feeling like crap, he hadn’t gotten much sleep since his dream last night. He heard the sound of water running knew it was Sarah. He slowly sat up and held his sleepy head in his hands. He gowned as he stood up and walked into the bathroom. He could see Sarah’s nude body through the glass and he smiled to himself.

Sarah stepped out of the shower and saw him looking at her; she smiled at him and walked up to him. Nik accepted the kiss she gave him and smiled down at her. “Hello beautiful. How are you doing this morning?” Nik asked. “Hello to you too. I’m fine, but you look like hell. Are you OK?” She asked. Nik nodded his head. “Yeah I’m fine, I just had a weird dream that’s all.” Nik said. Sarah looked at him concerned. “Is there anything I can help you with?” Sarah asked. Nik shook his head. “No I’m fine really.” Nik said. “Well remember we have that dinner at your mothers house tonight, you might want to get some rest before then.” Sarah said. “OK.” Nik said flashing her a grin. Sarah got dressed and ready to go to work. “I have to go, I’ll see you tonight.” She said giving him a kiss.

Nik took a shower, he dried off and put on a dark blue work shirt and a black suit, he combed his hair back and splashed on some cologne. He looked in the mirror and despite his clean look, he still looked tired. He shrugged, giving up the effort to not look like hell.

Nik walked up to the huge building in Port Charles, the sign in front of the uniquely designed building read Cassadine Industries. He swung the door open and was greeted by very petite woman with short black hair behind the lobby desk. “Hi Nikky, how’s your day going?” She asked. Nik looked over at Jewel, he liked the spunky young woman. He made a face in her direction. “Not so good huh? Well I hope it gets better.” She said as he walked past her. “Thanks.” He mumbled as he got into the elevator.

When he pulled the heavy cherry oak door open he was greeted by the homely feeling his office provided. The huge window over looked the Port Charles River and the masculine décor. He loved the waterfall in the corner of the room; witch provided a soothing sound of water running. Nik walked up and instantly turned on his computer, he gazed out the window while it was booting up, and that’s how his brother found him. Standing up and looking out his office window.

“Nikolas what’s up bro?” Lucky asked as he stepped into the office. Nik turned around to face him and smiled over at him. “Where were you man? You looked like you were a million miles away.” Lucky said. “I was just thinking. What’s up?” Nik asked, trying to change the subject. Lucky caught on to this but decided to let his brother slide this time. “I just wanted to make sure that you’re coming to moms tonight.” Lucky said. “Yeah I’ll be there, why?” Nik asked. Lucky got a shy smile on his face. “I was sworn not to tell but Elizabeth and I are announcing our engagement tonight.” Lucky said smiling. Nik’s face lit up. “That’s great little brother, I wouldn’t miss it for the world.” Nik said walking over and giving his brother a hug. “Thanks man, I’ll see you tonight.” Lucky said as he headed out the door.

Nik walked over to the chair behind his desk and plopped himself down. With Lucky and Liz’s announcement he would have even more pressure to propose to Sarah. He sighed. He didn’t know what was stopping him. Deep down he wondered if she was the one, his true love, and his soul mate. No, he didn’t think so; he thought that somewhere out there was the woman of his dreams. Now all he had to do was find her.
