Uninvited CH 32
Nikolas sat alone, solemnly eating his breakfast as he stared at the door of the
kitchen, as if Gia would come walking in by his will. She had only been gone for
an hour and he already didn’t know what to do with him self. Why did he have
to introduce Gia to Kristina? He should have known they would hit it off. He was
relieved when Ms. Landsbury came in and said that his brother was here to see
him. He smiled brightly at her and asked her to tell him to come in.
“Hey bro!” He said cheerfully as his brother came in. Lucky looked at him
suspiciously. “Why are you so happy to see me?” He asked. “Well, uh
Gia’s gone.” Nik admitted. His brother laughed. “Oh I see, well I feel so
special.” Lucky said sarcastically. Nik laughed. “Sorry Lucky it’s just
that I miss her like crazy. She and Kristina have been shopping for the
wedding.” Nik said. “The wedding? Isn’t it like four months away or
something?” Lucky asked. “That’s what I said, but Gia says that she wants
everything to be perfect.” Nik said. “So things are going good between you
guys?” Lucky asked, grabbing an apple out of the bowl next to him and leaning
against the counter as he bit into it. “Yeah things are going great. Gia,
she’s really amazing. I just can’t believe that out of all the people I
could have been forced to marry, I would get Gia, who I fell in love with.”
Nik said. “Yeah you’re lucky man, Gia’s great. She’s definitely unique.
I like her a lot. Look Nikolas that’s kind of what I wanted to talk to you
about, Gia. I would really like it if Elizabeth and her could get along.”
Lucky said. Nik smiled remembering Gia’s words regarding Liz. “Yeah they
don’t really like each other much do they?” Nik said smiling. Lucky laughed.
“Yeah that’s putting it mildly. Anyway I thought that we could maybe go out
with you guys sometime, like a double date. What do you think?” Lucky asked.
“Sure bro, great idea. How about tomorrow night?” Nik suggested. “Great!
So you’ll talk to Gia?” Lucky asked. “Yeah and you’ll talk to Liz?”
Nik asked. “You got it bro, I’ll see you later then.” Lucky said, heading
out the door.
Gia looked over at Kristina, thinking about the question she was asked by her,
if things were going well with her and Nikolas. “Well after our fight, we came
back home and made love, witch was amazing as always. But then we talked and
worked out some of our problems. We talked about our fears and hopes; that
helped a lot. Now, we’re doing great. I just can’t wait to be married to
him.” Gia said dreamily. Kristina smiled. “That’s great Gia, it sounds
like you guys are really in love.” Kristina said, as she took a sip of her
iced coffee. Gia smiled over the table at her as they sat at a small coffee shop
sipping iced coffees. The two had been shopping all day. “Can you believe
Nikolas thinks I’m nuts for shopping this far in advance?” Gia asked.
“Men!” They simultaneously stated, both laughing at their comments. “Well,
speaking of men, I think Nik is going to go nuts without me. I better get
back.” Gia said. “Oh poor baby.” Kristina said, they both laughed as they
got up and left.
“Nikolas, are you home?” Gia yelled when she walked into Wyndemere. Nik came
running up to her and instantly attacked her lips with his. Gia pulled away
laughing. “Nikolas that’s pathetic, did you really miss me that much?” Gia
asked making a face at him. “Yeah.” Nik mumbled looking at the floor. Gia
smiled at him kissed his cheek. “Good.” She said quietly. Nik smiled.
“Come here, I want to talk to you about something.” Nik said guiding her to
sit down in the living room.
Gia looked at Nikolas, he was acting so serious, and she wondered what he was
going to throw at her. She braced herself for what he was going to say to her.
He gabbed her hands and held them within his. “Gia I need to ask you
something.” He said.
Nik looked over at Gia, he hoped she didn’t think this was too serious, but he
knew she wasn’t really going to like what he was about to throw at her. With
her hands in his, he leaned in and looked her in the eyes. “Gia, Lucky and I
have been talking and he would really like it if you and Elizabeth could get
along." He saw the look on her face and prepared himself for what she was
about to say.
Elizabeth? Oh no, no way, Gia thought. “Nikolas, that girl is so boring and
she’s a bitch too.” Gia exclaimed. Nik held in his laugh. “I know you
think that Gia but we would really like to spend time together and we don’t
want to if you guys are going to be fighting the whole time.” Nik said in a
pleading voice. “I’m not the one you should be talking to about this.” Gia
defended. Nik raised his eyebrows at her, Gia sighed and looked away as she
rolled her eyes. “OK, so maybe I’m not exactly polite to her, but I mean
I’m not the one who starts the fights.” Gia said. Once again Nik looked at
her. “OK, so maybe sometimes. But I can’t help it if she has no since of
humor and doesn’t get when I’m just making a joke about her.” Gia said.
Nik sighed and touched her face lightly. “Gia please, I know that you are not
the only one who needs to try harder and Lucky is going to have the same
conversation with Elizabeth. Can you please just try, for me?” Nik asked. A
sly smile appeared on his face as he leaned in and began to place feather light
kisses along her neck. “This isn’t going to work, I’m not the one who’s
desperate for sex.” Gia warned. Nik continued with his kisses, working his way
down to her shoulder, he then began to run his hand up her skirt slightly,
stopping when he was just about to touch her panties. “Please.” He whispered
hotly in her ear. “Oh fine, but this better be good buddy, or you can forget
it.” Gia said. Nik laughed. “You’ve got it, Princess Sparky.” Nik said.
“Oh and don’t be fresh.” Gia warned. “I wouldn’t dream of it, I’ll
leave that to you Princess.” Nik said. Gia laughed and wrapped her arms around
his neck and let him continue with his persuasion. “What’s wrong?” Nik
asked suddenly, looking down at the odd look on Gia’s face. “Oh god, I
really hope that this isn’t the way Liz and Lucky’s conversation is ending
up, or I think I’m going to be sick.” Gia said with a horrid look on her
face. Nik playfully pinched her on her thigh, Gia squealed with laughter.
