Uninvited CH 10

“Why am I freaking out about what to wear tonight?” Gia asked herself as she was going through her clothes. After great thought, she finally decided on an outfit. She decided to wear a small black dress plain but it fit her like a glove, the dress showed off all her best features. Her black knee-high boots showed off just enough of her legs to look sexy. She decided to wear her braids down and wore little makeup. Her eyes where lightly covered in violet and she wore lip-gloss on her lips. She looked in the mirror and was satisfied with her choice.  Looking at the clock she saw that it was close to 7:00 so she grabbed her leather jacket and headed out the door.

“OK Cassadine you have to calm yourself, stay cool.” Nik tolled himself. He couldn’t believe that Gia actually agreed to go with him to Luke’s. He was excited, yet apprehensive about tonight. He was hoping that it might help bring them closer but was concerned about one thing, how it would go with Gia and Liz. Nik decided to wear a pair of kaki pants and a light gray sweater, with black Doc’s on his feet. His hair was gelled in a kind of messy look. He lightly sprayed on his cologne, grabbed his black jacket and walked downstairs.

As usual Gia was not downstairs when he came down so took a seat in the chair by the staircase and waited for her. Right before 7:00 he looked up and saw her coming down the stairs. All Nik could do was sit and stare. He straightened up and looked at her. He let his eyes take in her body, every inch of it. She looked absolutely incredible. Her dress fit her like it was made for her. It was so short it made his throat go dry. But it wasn’t her clothes that made his heart pound. In the week she had been here, he never once saw Gia with her hair down. It was always pulled up in a bun or ponytail and she always looked beautiful but with her hair down, Gia looked absolutely stunning. When his eyes drank in her whole body he finally brought them back up to beautiful eyes and locked on. Nik thought he was going to pass out when she began to walk towards him. Then he saw it, that look in her eyes. The one she gets right before she says something completely crude and sarcastic. Nik braced himself for what was sure to come next.

Gia headed downstairs and saw him sitting in his usual spot, the chair by the staircase. The further down the stairs she got, the better she was able to look at him. His slouched form, leaning forward in the chair slowly started to tilt back until he was sitting up straight. She watched his eyes travel up her body and felt a tingle course through everything he stared at. She just stood there and let him look at her. The lust she saw in his eyes was so strong; she couldn’t pull herself away from his gaze. She took this time to take in his appearance as well. The way his sweater clung to his body, showing off his muscular chest. His soft lips were just begging to be kissed. His deep brown eyes were devouring her body. She felt as though her heart stopped when he brought his eyes up to hers and locked on. Zander! Her brain screamed at her. Oh god Gia this has gone too far! She told herself as she slowly walked towards him. Her mind raced for something to say. “You’re staring again creepy.” She said. Nik merely shrugged. “I can’t help staring at you princess sparky.” Nik said smiling at her. “You take my breath away Gia.” Nik said walking up to her and lightly touching her face. He pulled his hand away quickly when she jerked her head away from him. Nik looked down at the ground and then slowly brought his head up again and looked at her. “Can we please just go Nikolas?” Gia asked. Nik nodded his head and pulled the door open for her and they walked out.

Why did I try to touch her? Nik thought as he drove to Luke’s. Things are already bad as it is and now I had to go do that! He thought. But look at her he thought, looking over at Gia. She was staring out the window. Her legs crossed, revealing her sexy mocha colored thighs. She looked over just in time to see him staring. Nik cringed when she pulled her dress down and brought her purse up to cover her exposed skin. Great! That helped! He thought as he turned to face the road. Nik felt embarrassed at first. But why, she’s beautiful and she knows it. Why was she so surprised that he would be attracted to her? And she wore that dress, for who Lucky? God he hoped not. He was not about to back down. What was bugging Nik so much was that he knew she had feelings for him. He could see it in her eyes; they mirrored his own longing ones. What is it about me that she doesn’t like? She doesn’t even know me, He thought. All she knows about me is the childish little remarks that I’m constantly retorting back to her even ruder remarks. Well that is going to change. She needs to know how I feel about her and I’m not backing down, Nik thought.

Gia became aware that she was beginning to be quiet a tease. She didn’t mean to be. In her heart, she was still in love with Zander. It wasn’t fair to Nikolas to let him feel as though he might have some kind of chance with her when he didn’t. She didn’t want to lead him on. But every time Nik looked at her she would just freeze and let him. All thoughts of her boyfriend would leave her mind and she and Nikolas were the only ones who existed. But she knew it was hurting Nik, she could see it in his eyes. It killed her to see the look in his eyes when she pulled away from his touch. The touch that sent shivers of excitement through her body. She looked over at Nik and her heart fluttered when she caught him looking at her legs. Oh god Nikolas you’re making this so hard! She thought. She quickly covered herself and felt his gaze turn back to the road. He couldn’t fall for her. She needed to prove to him that they would not work as a couple. That what he’s feeling is merely attraction, nothing more.
