Gia looked into the mirror and couldn’t believe how beautiful she looked. Courtney had surprised her with a dress. It was simple, white with spaghetti straps. No flowers or lace. But it fit her perfectly; it was just full enough to flare out a little when she spun around. Her hair was half let down, in beautiful small curls. The top half was an intricate braid that wrapped around the top of her head like a crown. Courtney had finished it off by placing little pearl clips all around it. The finishing touch was something that Lucky had managed to barrow from a photo shoot, a beautiful pair of white feather angel wings. Her makeup was minimal, natural colors but she wore a light coat of glitter on her skin. She held a bouquet of white tulips in her hands and the smile that graced her face completed the whole look. Gia took an excited breath turned around to face Courtney. She was in small pink silk dress and the two beamed at each other. “Lets go!” Gia said excitedly.

Gia walked into the huge old church, it was lit by hundreds of candles. You could see a perfect view of the lake from the large glass windows on both sides. Gia couldn’t help but fall in love with the huge old church, with its high sealing and gorgeous stained glass above that light poured through, shining onto the alter. The pews were all empty as she slowly walked up the quite church, as she approached the runway, Gia was shocked by the sound of music playing. She looked over to see a man with a guitar in the corner of the church. He was playing a beautiful but unfamiliar song that echoed sweetly throughout the empty room.

Nikolas watched as Gia entered the church and his heart was pounding with excitement. Lucky kept asking him if he was nervous but he insisted that he wasn’t. He couldn’t wait to see her in her dress, and now that he had, all he wanted to do was take her in his arms and make her feel as beautiful as she looked. His excitement grew as the music played and he watched her walk closer to him.

Gia felt a lump in her throat as she looked down the isle and saw her love standing there. He looked so handsome in his casual white tux. She was expecting him to be dressed in his trademark black but he looked so sexy in white. God she loved this man. To think that she once thought he was a monster. Now as she looked at him, all she saw was his kind smile and love filled eyes. He was her prince charming.

“Hi angel.” Nik said when she finally made her way up to meet him. She smiled brightly up at him. “Hi.” She said quietly. She looked over at a shyly smiling Lucky standing next to his brother and smiled at him, and then over at Courtney as if to thank them for all that they had done.

The minister smiled down at both of them and began the ceremony. After they recited the vows provided by the minister, they began to recite their own vows.

“Gia, from the first time I saw you, so scared and lost. I wanted to take care of you. To protect you and love for the rest of my life and as I stand before you, in front of god and our loved ones, I promise to do just that. I love you and I want to spend the rest of our lives together. I know that we will have rough times ahead of us but I know that we will get through it together. I love you Sparky, forever.” Nik said. To Gia’s surprise he pulled a ring out of his pocket and showed it to her. “Love thee.” She read the cursive engraving inside through blurry eyes. She handed it back to him and let him place it on her finger. “With this ring, I thee wed.” Nik said as he easily slipped the ring onto her delicate finger.

“Nikolas, I was never aloud to talk about you when I was a kid and everything I knew about you I hated. But when I was a little girl, I saw you and it changed my life forever. When you came into my life again, you helped me when I needed it. You protected me and you saved me. I thank you for that and I thank you for loving me. I want to grow old together and I want our love to last forever. In my heart I know we can beat anything that comes our way. I love you Nikolas, always.” Gia said in a shaky voice. Nik was shocked when Gia turned to Courtney and retrieved a simple gold band and smiled at him. “With this ring, I thee wed.” Gia said as she pushed it up his finger.

“And with the power vested in me, in this house of god, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss you beautiful bride. May god bless you always.” The minister said to Nik and Gia. They joined together for a passionate kiss. “Friends and family.” The minister said to Courtney and Lucky. “May I present, Mr. and Mrs. Cassadine.” He said happily. Courtney and Lucky clapped and they all joined in a groups hug. Gia pulled Nik to the side and smiled up at him, her eyes rimmed with tears. “Nikolas, thank you so much. When you said we were getting married today, I was thinking a tacky little chapel or something. This was perfect, small and intimate. I’ll never forget this day. I love you.” Gia said smiling.

“I love you too Sparky.” Nik said as he leaned in and kissed her. ‘You look so beautiful Gia.” Nik whispered as they pulled away. “So do you.” Gia said. Nik laughed and pulled his wife in for a warm hug, knowing that this day might be their happiest memory together as their lives will be filled with madness, all because they love each other.
