Star Crossed Lovers CH 25

It had been a week since Gia spent the night with Nikolas and she was missing him terribly. She realized that Juan was starting to get very suspicious of her and that she needed to keep things quiet for a bit. She wandered if he was thinking about her like she was about him. The night that they spent together almost seemed like a dream to her. She played the events of the night over and over in her head. Each time it brought a smile to her face.

Gia walked into Kelly’s to meet Courtney for lunch. She sighed when she saw Liz behind the counter.

“Oh it’s you.” Liz said with disgust.

“Can I get a chicken salad and an iced tea please?” Gia said ignoring Liz’s comment.

“You know, you had no right to yell at Nikolas like you did.” Liz said.

“Who?” Gia asked in mock confusion.

“That guy that you yelled at the other day. He’s a friend of mine and you had no right to yell at him.” Liz said.

“I can talk however I want to whoever I want.” Gia said glaring at Liz. Liz shook her head.

“You are such a mean little witch.” Liz said.

“You know it’s a good thing your friend was here to stop me the other day. You might not be that lucky this time.” Gia said in a warning tone. Liz looked at the girl before her and realized that she wasn’t someone to mess with.

“I’ll get you that salad.” Liz simply said. Gia turned around with a smirk on her face, satisfied with the look she saw on Liz’s pale face. She walked to at near by table and sat down.

“Hey Courtney, over here!” Gia said smiling when her friend walked in.

“Hey what’s up?” Court asked sitting in the chair across from her.

“Sadly, nothing at all.” Gia said frowning.

“You’re still thinking about you know who?” Courtney asked.

“All the time.” Gia said with a far off gaze. Courtney smiled at the look on her friends face.

“Well, after that night who wouldn’t think about him? I mean, three times?!” Both girls busted out laughing, causing stares from the other customers.

~~Mean while~~

“Hey man will you please smile?” Lucky asked his brother. He had been moping around for the last week. He hadn’t heard from Gia since that special night a week ago. He thought of her constantly and could do nothing but mope around his brothers’ apartment.

“Sorry bro but I just don’t feel happy without Gia.” Nik said.

“Hey, how about I go get us some food?” Lucky suggested.

“I’m not hungry.” Nik said.

“Nikolas you haven’t eaten hardly anything all day. You look like your loosing weight.” Lucky said.

“Fine, I’ll eat but I’m not going out.” Nik said.

Lucky agreed and headed out the door, he had an idea.

~~Kelly’s~~

“Courtney will you keep your voice down? And no I will not tell you that!” Gia hissed at her friend.

“Oh come on, I just want to know how...” Someone coming in the door interrupted Courtney’s words.

Gia noticed the redirection of Courtney’s gaze and fallowed it to the door. Lucky was standing there and Gia quickly looked away, not wanting anyone to catch on that they knew each other. As Lucky walked by, he quickly unhooked Gia’s purse that was hanging on her chair and watched as it dropped to the floor. Gia was shocked at first and then when she bent down to pick up the spilled contents of the bag, Lucky bent down too.

“Oh I’m so sorry.” He said as he bent down next to her.

“Sparky, meet me on the docks in 10 minutes.” Lucky whispered in Gia’s ear as he helped her pick up her things. Gia lightly nodded her head and they both brought their heads back up. Lucky flashed a quick smile at Courtney before heading to the counter.

“What was that all about?” Courtney asked.

“Oh that guy seems to be quite a klutz. You know he bumped into me the other day?” Gia said making a face. She didn’t want anyone to hear them. She leaned in and whispered to Courtney what was up. Courtney agreed to keep quiet.

“Hey I have to go meet my mom at the hospital. I’ll talk to you later OK?” Gia said loudly ad she stood up.

“Yeah call me.” Courtney said. Gia nodded and headed out the door.

~~Ten minutes later~~

Gia stood staring out at the water waiting for Lucky. Silently hoping that he had some kind of news about Nikolas for her. She felt a tap on her shoulder and nearly screamed when she turned around to see Lucky. He had a black pullover sweatshirt, with the hood up and black sunglasses on. The only reason she know it was him was because of the tuft of blond hair sticking out of the front of his hood.

“Hey don’t laugh, I don’t want to be seen with you remember?” Lucky said smiling at the look on Gia’s face.

“Sorry I scared you.” Lucky said.

“You didn’t scare me.” Gia tried to cover but surrendered with a smile and a nod.

“Can you get away from your family tonight?” Lucky asked.

“Yeah Juan went to New York with Zander.” Gia said nodding.

“Here, go to this address. Nikolas is there.” Lucky said, handing her a slip of paper. He watched as a brilliant smile spread across Gia’s face that would make any man go weak in the knees.

“I know where this is.” Gia said.

“Good, Nikolas doesn’t know I came and got you so it will be a surprise. I can chill at Jake’s tonight so I won’t come back until late.” Lucky said smiling at her. Gia blushed at what he was implying and nodded her head.

“Just don’t do it on my bed OK?” Lucky said. Gia couldn’t hold the laughter in and a deep laugh escaped from her mouth. Lucky’s first reaction was to hold his hand over her mouth but he just couldn’t get himself to put an end to the beautiful sound of her laughter.

“Thank you Lucky.” Gia whispered quickly placing a light kiss on his cheek before running off. Leaving Lucky with a goofy grin on his face, again thinking about how lucky his brother is.
