Star Crossed Lovers CH 24

“Juan!” Gia said shocked to see her cousin there.

“Oh this is just a letter from Courtney.” Gia lied.

Juan looked at her suspiciously but decided to let it go.

Gia tucked the letter back it it’s envelope and stood up.

“Gia you really shouldn’t be out here alone at night.” Juan said.

“Juan, you worry too much. Hey will you spend the night at the cottage tonight?” Gia asked trying to change the subject.

“Sure, lets go.” Juan said.

~Meanwhile at Wyndemere~

“Did you give it to her?” Nik asked as soon as he saw Lucky come in.

“Yeah man I gave it to her will you just chill?” Lucky smiled at his brother.

“Man she is beautiful!” Lucky said smiling. Nik glared at him.

“I know she is Lucky. But that’s not all there is to her. She's so smart and funny. I’ve never felt like this about anyone before. It’s kind of scary.” Nik said sitting down.

“Hey don’t chicken out on me now. I already gave her the letter.” Lucky said sitting next to his brother.

“I’m not going to back out, I’m just saying it’s kind of scary to feel this strongly about someone I barely know. I have to see her again Lucky.” Nik said.

“Hey you will soon, you will.” Lucky said encouragingly to his brother.

~Cottage~

“Hey I’m going to go take a shower and then I’ll be right down.” Gia said heading up the stairs.

As soon as she left, Juan picked up the phone and dialed.

“Sonny, it’s Juan. Something’s up with Gia. I’ll keep on it and I’ll let you know what I find out. Bye.” Juan hung up the phone his gaze traveled up the stairs.

“Please Gia, let me be wrong.” He said quietly to himself.
