Star Crossed Lovers CH 17

Nik stood in shock, looking up at the beautiful woman in his room. He had never seen her look as sexy as she did standing in front of him in this moment. She looked straight out of a comic book in her camouflage pants and combat boots. He could barley breath she looked so incredible. His heartbeat quickened when his love spoke.

“I had to come and see you.” Gia said shyly. She looked down at her feet. She suddenly felt a pain on her finger and looked down to see it dripping with blood from a cut on the tip of it. She quickly stuck her finger in her mouth and sucked the blood off.

Nik sucked in a breath when Gia stuck her finger in her mouth and sucked it. He snapped himself out of this trance he was in and walked up to her and gently grabbed her uninjured hand, easing her towered the bathroom. Switching on the light he opened the medicine cabinet and picked up a box of band-aids and opened it. He pulled one out and grabbed at tube of disinfectant ointment and reached for her finger as he began to bandage it.

Gia’s heart pounded as Nik’s head bent down toward hers and he took hold of her hand. He was so close she could feel his energy, she slowly breathed in, inhaling his scent.  Intoxicated by the sweet mix of shampoo and skin flowing powerfully through her nostrils. She gasped slightly when the cool ointment hit the sensitive cut on her finger. Nik looked up and smiled sexily at her. She watched as he bent his head down slightly and slowly blew on it, never taking his eyes off of her face. She couldn’t stop her eyes from quickly shutting before fluttering open again. Nik smiled at her and then quickly put a bandage on her finger and brought it to his lips and light kissed it. Sending a shivers coursing through Gia’s body.

“All better?” Nik asked smiling. Gia could only nod in response. He guided her back to the room gestured for her to sit on the bed.

Gia looked over at the bed and hesitated. This room brought back a lot bad feelings for her. Nik sensed her hesitation and looked deep into her eyes and let her know that she was safe. She smiled warmly and sat down.

“Why did you come here Gia?” Nik asked in a husky voice.

“I came here to apologize to you for the way I spoke to you today.” Gia said.

 “Gia, why did you act like you didn’t even know me?” Nik asked.

“I was scared Nikolas, I was raised my whole life to hate you and your family.” Gia said.

“I know that, but it’s only the name you hate. Gia, our names don’t mean anything.” Nik said.

“I know Nikolas I’m sorry but it’s just really hard.” Gia said.

“I know. I don’t blame you for being scared. But so am I.” Nik said. “I’ve never felt this way about anyone.”

“Me either, Nikolas I think I might be in love with you. Is that crazy?” Gia asked. Nik nodded his head no.

“I love you too. I thought so the minute I saw you. It was like love at first sight for me.” Nik said.

“I felt the same way.” Gia said.

Nik reached over and took her hand in his. “Gia just for tonight, can we just forget about our family’s and just be Nik and Gia?” He asked. Gia smiled and nodded, she leaned over placed her soft lips on his.
