“Gia!”
Sonny yelled as she chased after her. He saw the car coming before she did. The
second it hit her, he called 911 and was grateful that there was an ambulance
close by that was on its way. He made his way over to Gia. Her body lay on the
pavement of the street and blood was dripping from her head, as her eyes were
clamped shut. He never wanted this to happen, all he wanted to do was keep her
safe from Nikolas Cassadine. He trusted that Stovros would some how stop Gia
from being involved with Nikolas but he never thought that he would do this.
Tears were pouring down Sonny’s face as he leaned over her. “Gia.” He
cried. He heard the sirens coming and prayed that they would get there sooner.
He saw Gia’s eyes flutter open and bent his head down closer to hers. “Baby
girl?” Sonny said sadly.
“Nikolas.”
Gia whispered before closing her eyes again. The ambulance came and put Gia on a
stretcher and then a few men loaded her unconscious body onto the truck. Sonny
made his way over to the side of the street where the two limos were parked so
that he could fallow her. Having seen the traffic slow, and noticing Sonny’s
state. Lucky walked over from his spot by the limo. Concerned that something was
wrong.
“Sonny,
is everything OK?” Lucky asked.
“No
it’s not, Gia is dead and I want you and your brother to stay away from me and
the rest of my family.” Sonny said as tears rolled down his cheeks. He walked
away leaving a stunned Lucky by himself.
“Gia,
oh no Gia.” Lucky said falling to the ground and crying.
~Meanwhile~
Nikolas
had been led into a small room after they began to take him to prison. It all
happened after the policeman who was escorting him got a page. He now sat on a
wooden chair behind a wooden table, handcuffed to the table. The door captured
his attention as it suddenly swung open.
“Mr.
Cassadine, you’re free to go home now.” The man said. Nik’s eyebrows
knitted.
“What
do you mean?” He asked.
“The
suspect turned himself in. His name is Zander Smith and it seems he was a friend
of the victim. You are free to go.” The man said. Relief filled Nik’s body
as he heard this. He hurriedly signed some papers before heading for the door. A
smile spread across his face as he saw the back of his brothers blond head
outside. He needed to get to him, they needed to find Gia and tell her the news.
Nik pushed the doors open with a smile on his face that quickly faded when he
took one look at his brother’s face.
“L,
Lucky what happened?” Nik reluctantly asked. He saw his brother’s face
crumble as he looked up at him. Lucky grabbed Nik’s arm and held on for
support.
“It’s
Gia! She ran across the street and, she never saw the car, she’s gone
Nikolas.” Lucky cried. Nik pulled away from his brother like he was poison. He
shook his head violently.
“No.”
He stated. Lucky looked down.
“Nikolas
everyone saw it, she was bleeding from the head. She was dead brother, I’m
sorry.” Lucky said. Nik’s hands flew up to his ears as he desperately tried
to block out his brother’s words. He looked around at the people who still
stood around gawking and felts his panic begin to rise as he got a sinking
feeling in his stomach. He continued to look at his surroundings and his eyes
landed on the pool of blood in the middle of the street. Nik felt his knees go
weak and gave into his body and finally was no longer able to stand and fell to
his knees.
“Gia?
Gia!!” Nik screamed as he looked around for her. He felt so alone, barely
feeling his brother’s arms around his shoulders. People were shocked as
Nik’s loud cries rang through the air. He cried as his arms wrapped around
himself. “No Gia please, no, no!!” He cried. His body collapsed and he laid
down in the fetal position on the sidewalk as sobs violently took over his body.
