Gia
looked over at Nikolas as he slept, she wondered if she should wake him.
Thinking it might be harder for him to let her go if he saw her. After they made
love they talked for hours, catching up for lost time. They both fell asleep but
Gia woke up, knowing that she had to go. Gia went to work gathering up her
clothes and putting them on. She found her skirt, put it on and was just about
to put her bra on when she felt his arm wrap around her. She smiled as he began
to kiss her neck and shoulder.
“Nikolas.”
She said softly.
“Shh,
I don’t care.” Nik said in her ear as he continued his kisses. Gia turned
around and looked up at him sadly.
“I
can’t do this Nikolas, what if my family is looking for me? You know what they
would do if they found us.” Gia said. Nik rested his forehead against hers as
he sighed.
“Lets
run away together, just you and me.” Nik said. Gia shook her head slowly.
“Nikolas
I just reconnected with my brother, I can’t leave now.” Gia said, tears
forming in her eyes.
“I
can’t take this anymore Gia, this sneaking around, you pretended to be with my
brother. It’s driving me nuts.” Nik said as tears began to fall from his
eyes. His hands lingered on the back of her neck and as he rubbed the sides of
her face with his thumbs.
“I
love you so much Gia, I just want to be with you, please let me be with my
wife!” Nik said desperately. Gia broke down into sobs as his pleas were
breaking her heart. She looked down, no longer able to bare the pain she saw
etched on his face, knowing she was the one who caused it. Gia turned away and
started to walk away from him, his arms clamped around her strongly from behind.
“Don’t
leave me, please Gia I love you. Stay?” Nik begged into her ear. Gia’s body
shook viciously as she began bawl, crying out in loud sobs. Her head tilted
back, resting against the security that his strong chest provided as she cried.
She broke free from his strong hold and sobbed as she put on her bra and shirt.
Nik stood in the middle of the room, crying like a baby as he watched her get
ready to leave.
“Please.”
He begged. Gia covered her ears and looked up sadly at him.
“Stop
Nikolas this is killing me, I love you but I love my family too. I can’t leave
one for the other.” Gia said sadly. Not seeing any change in his demeanor she
ran out with her boots tucked between her armpits.
Gia
ran downstairs with tears streaming down her face, rushing past everyone who was
in her way as she kept her head down. She pushed open the door, blocking out
everything around her. She never saw her cousin sitting at a table in the corner
of the room as he looked up at her.
Seeing
Gia in the state she was in reminded Juan of the night of the party. He felt
helpless and concerned for her. He looked over just in time to see Nikolas at
the top of the stairs leading to the rooms upstairs. He was clad in only a pair
of pants, glancing around the room before disappearing again. Anger rushed
through him at what he just witnessed. Juan rushed outside and pulled out his
cell phone and dialed.
“Zander?
It’s Juan, I need your help, it’s about Gia. Nikolas Cassadine’s a dead
man, yeah I think he just tried to rape her.” Juan said and then disengaged
his phone with fury in his eyes.
