Pushed Away CH 12

“Gia?” “You here?” Kristina yelled. Mrs. Landsberry tolled her that she was but she didn’t see her anywhere. “Yeah I’m up here with Lucky!” Gia shouted. Climbing the stairs, Kristina saw that they were in the master bedroom. Stepping inside the room, Kristina gasped. The walls were done in a textured caramel color. The new bed was a wrought iron canopy bed with long sheer pieces of off white material draped around the top. The bedding was off while as well. There were candles everywhere, fresh flowers in vases all around. It was completely different than it use to look and it was so much homier. Kristina couldn’t believe her eyes.

“It looks amazing you two!” Kristina tolled Gia and Lucky who were lying lazily on the bed, staring up at the ceiling. Like they had been ever since they finished two hours ago. “Thanks.” Lucky said with little enthusiasm. “Yeah thanks.” Gia said, equally as excited.

“I just can’t get over the change!” Kristina said continuing to look at the room. They had put down a beautiful floor rug on the hardwood floors. The pictures they had up were amazing. “Lucky did you take these?” Kristina asked. “Yes maim!” He replied. The beautiful black and white pictures where all in big black frames covering various places on the walls. They were mostly scenic shots, flowers and other things, there was one of Lulu in a garden too. But the most stunning picture was definitely the one above the dresser. It was a black and white picture of Nik and Gia on their wedding day. The beach behind them in a candid shot, Gia is laughing at Nik’s smiling face. It was truly an amazing picture, the two looked so beautiful and happy. “This is beautiful!” Kristina breathed. “Thank you.” They both replied, Gia because she was in it and Lucky because he took it.

After Kristina finished looking over the room, stopping to make miner adjustments to the arrangement of the candles and vases. She sat on the huge bed with her friends. “Kristina, I’m afraid I won’t be very good company tonight.” Gia said weakly. “Well that’s what I want to talk to you about.” Kristina said with a worried look on her face. “You see, Alexis has been working so much lately and has had no time to spend with me.” “Sonny felt bad so he’s sending us to a spa for a few days to make up for it.” “We leave first thing in the morning so I need to pack tonight.” I know this is last minute and I know I tolled Nikolas that I would come and stay with you while he’s gone, but I was wondering if you could get someone else to stay with you?” Kristina asked. “Oh hey don’t worry about it Kristina.” “I’m completely capable of staying here by myself.” Gia said. “Are you sure?” Kristina asked. “I don’t like the idea of you staying by yourself Gia.” Lucky said. “What are you saying that I should do then?” Gia asked. “Well I can stay with you.” Lucky suggested. “Oh I wouldn’t want you to have to do that.” Gia said. “No really I don’t have any photo shoots lined up for the next few days and I can just stay in the guest room.” Lucky said. “Hey I would feel much more comfortable if Lucky was here with you.” Kristina said. “OK, thanks Lucky!” Gia said. She actually felt relieved that she didn’t have to stay alone in the house.

“OK well I’m going to head home then guys.” “Again, the room looks fabulous!” Kristina said, heading out the door. “Have fun Kristina!” Gia said.
